Let's call this what it is—the selling off of the collective assets of the United States to private investors—a massive transfer of wealth from the public sector to (some wealthy) private individuals. (and the GSA will likely lease a significant portion back, reinforcing the wealth transfer).

I spent the first five years of my career working to pass the Corporate Transparency Act. The bill was very careful and supported by every major Republican, including the Trump Administration and Steve Mnuchin. The compliance burdens are tiny. The only goal here is to help people launder money.
