I hate this, especially for all the athletes who've worked so hard, but I keep expecting boycott announcements.

I don't recall one specific event or person. My grandmothers both instilled a legacy of stubbornly fighting for women's rights. From there it was a realization over time that my rights - healthcare, marriage, body autonomy, etc - mean nothing if they don't extend to everyone.

A fun one? Or is this a metaphor for the US right now? πŸ˜¬πŸ€”

I love your combo, the wild dogwoods and redbuds just miss each other in elevation zones here. The wild (Pacific) dogwoods are just starting to bloom by me. They are glorious and light up the shadowy places where they grow. They're my favorite blooming tree.

Ooh. I often lightly toast the pineapple separately, then sprinkle (heavily) on the cookies pizza. I love pineapple on pizza, but not overcooked pineapple.

Sounds like Harvard passed Negotiations 101 with flying colors.

Yup. Unless the place is specifically asking for something (and the request is current), money is usually more useful. I remember creating bags of food to be donated to neighbors displaced by floods. No idea what dish could be made, it was like a basket from Chopped. (I'd still be grateful).

Oof. I had a similar thing happen recently. Thankfully it was still covered by warranty. Hoping the best for you too.

All other stupidity aside, isn't that what VAERS is supposed to monitor for? I'm assuming he's going to ramp up and hyper focus on the 1:1,000,000,000 negative response? (Not saying they aren't important, just that they should be put into perspective and the specific risk identified)

Ah. But still (at best) a very simple form of life? I hope it's not like the week that people were excited about arsenic life in Mono Lake a while back. Now I have to go look that up - when I should be sleeping.

I'm sorry! I think another issue is the word "life". I think the general public (and dubious media outlets) will latch on to that and imply sentient beings. My understanding (which could be wrong, please clarify if needed) is that what was found just indicates bacteria, at best? (Still exciting)

I used to. But one day I drew a line in the sand, as long as he sincerely tried, I would *help*, but not enable. Sadly he found other enablers and I said bye. 🫀

I still see signs like that around here. It's so weird, people like to complain about the price of gas, but they're ok with the massive profits by the oil and gas companies. All, as you said, at the expense of the health of people and the environment.
