This is so pretty! I’ve only done tiny cables so I didn’t use a needle but if I was going to do larger ones I probably would.

When in doubt and a pattern asks for a standard bind off I cast off with a larger needle… holding it loosely isn’t the best instruction for me (how loose?! How do I keep the stitches consistent?!) Happy knitting! 🧶

Community for sure 🥰
Not all KALs have steps/clues like mystery KALs do. I don’t think I’d regularly want to invest in lovely yarn without knowing what I’ll be making (I tend to buy yarn with a pattern in mind) but as a one off I’m sure it would be fun!

Decreased the gusset until 52 st, knit 3 inches more for foot and then decreased for the toes and grafted the toes with Kitchener stitch.
I knit these on 2.5mm needles.

I cast on 60 st, worked 2x2 rib for approx 2 inches, knit in the round for approx 3 inches then decreased by 2 stitches every 3rd row until I had 48 st remaining. I knit for another 1.5invhes, then split and worked the heel flap, turn and gusset.

Hi Leslie! I made these up as I went along to fit my 6 yr old who has uk sz 11-12 feet. I’ll pop what I did in comments below but if you wanted another size I’d recommend Christine Perry’s long sock pattern for sure. Quite a few of her patterns are available for free too 🥰
