Talking about climate change is one of the most powerful actions we can take to protect the people and places we love. Help me keep the conversation going by sharing this film. #ScienceMoms @ScienceMoms Learn more at sciencemoms.com

🎉🎉 Thrilled to welcome my friends and colleagues at @aacap.bsky.social to Bluesky. #AACAP is the leading voice for child psychiatry here in the US, and a trusted source for information and for committed, child and family centered advocacy. 🎉🎉

Important (and, TBH, kinda gross) study from @harvardcchange.bsky.social: The American Medical Association has declared climate change a public health crisis while... 1/3 of the politicians they support consistently vote AGAINST climate action. hsph.harvard.edu/climate-heal...

Lovely opinion from @colin-d-butler.bsky.social and Mala Rao in @bmj.com summarizing the question for us mental-health-clinician-types: If some "climate anxiety" motivates action, and too much paralyzes it, how much is the Goldilocks amount that can spawn a revolution? www.bmj.com/content/388/...

🚨 🚨🚨 Learning/CME alert! For PCPs and mental health providers: From the Yale Center on Climate Change and Health and our good friends Josh Wortzel and Laelia Benoit, a PBL-based short course on Climate Change and Mental Health. Register by 1/15! @cchyale.bsky.social ysph.yale.edu/school-of-pu...

"This is a monumental moment for Montana, our youth, and the future of our planet," said @youthvgov.bsky.social's Nate Bellinger. "Today, the Montana Supreme Court has affirmed the constitutional rights of youth to a safe and livable climate." www.thenewlede.org/2024/12/mont...

🎉🎉🎉 kudos to @youthvgov.bsky.social and the 16 youth plaintiffs: grateful for the reminder that progress is possible and action matters!

File under holding space for joy: THEY WON!!! WE WON!!! EVERYBODY WON!!! This morning the Montana Supreme Court ruled in favor of the 16 youth plaintiffs in Held v Montana, resoundingly affirming their right to a clean and healthy environment. Amazing work by the team at @youthvgov.bsky.social

As with climate change I imagine the truth when it comes to our democracy lies somewhere between "all is lost" and "everything is fine", and it's good to ask who wants you to believe either of those de-activating extremes.
