They just want freedom & love.
However, I fear it’s become the new “sweet Caroline”.

Could have sent a simple and direct message by boycotting Moscow & Qatar.

So you chose not they to read the Economic Impact Assessment, voted for Brexit, align yourself with the right & push for “de-growth” as you believe in the long run that would be beneficial.
Fuck off yourself - take your far right loons with you too.
You follow economics as much as Farage.
Cheerio.

“De-growth”, you mean regression. So who pays for the infrastructure that binds & forms society?
So you didn’t read it or attempt to read it. Interesting.
So this “sod em all” vote of protest which aligned with the far right - why did you not go with the far left as your protest vote throughout?

What change do you “demand” exactly?

Short term pain - show short was your “short-term”?
I take it you didn’t question the economic impact assessment carried by the Tories in 2015 then?
How are you going to generate this med-long term health when you fail to meet the very basic of growth?

"Big business takes advantage of ordinary people"
% of voters who agreed: 80%
% of non-voters who agreed: 81%
How many continued to vote Tory whilst everything was being privatised?
One day one of these polls will ask - how many of those who voted for Brexit have a basic grasp of economics?

Very strange question to ask of Frank from the financially cautious Daniel Levy. Pochettino asked Levy whether he (Levy) had the same ambitions for the club as he did. He received his answer.
One of the reasons Tottenham want Frank is that he works within a tight budget.

You didn’t have to be paying attention to the World Cup itself. In fact you could have picked up on the Guardian reporting without following any of the matches. You really were not paying attention.
As I say, I have many issues with the Guardian, but on that they were well ahead of most.

I suspect far fewer are aware of the sportswashing aspect than you imagine.

Not quite. I have many issues with the Guardian but they were one of the v few who covered the human rights aspect. They were probably the first & best in fact. I suspect you were not paying too much attention. Yes, they could have done more, but it was a damned sight more than most outlets.

We’ll have to agree to disagree. I don’t think I’ve ever heard him utter a decent bit of analysis on any player or any game. As I have moaned on about before, most are pretty awful, for Rio to be one of the v worst is damning.

Man Utd/Amorim may actually be thankful they lost to Spurs.
Spurs still will have to play in the CL. I can only see them struggling there too. Who are the short list candidates to replace Ange?

He was paid … paid … real money, by adults, for that kid of insight.
To be fair to Rio there are a great many others out there stealing a living with that sort of output. Some/many unfortunately include former Liverpool players.

There are precious few imho who are worth listening to. But they are then surrounded by clown who bring them down a level.
Agreed with your but in the Guardian “season likes & dislikes” on Van Dijk & Carragher. 💯 on both.

I’ve disliked him & Neville for ages. It’s “mates-bantz”. I could go on & on, but they are not worth it. I dislike so much punditry, as so much now about “having a laugh” & clicks.
To be fair they are not the only ones, Rio, Richards same. Then those who simply really poor Warnock (S), Owen, etc.

You talk about global market, where is the plethora of European film & music?
Australian? I could go on.
You/we have been brought up to believe that the US is all that is good in entertainment. Hollywood etc.
Tune in to E4 - have a look at how many of their programs are from the US.

You had an element of Americanisation - compare music charts of today & 1985.
What happened to all the British artists?
TV compare look at the standard of TV in 1985 compared to today.
Americans have had their education & society dumbed down for 50 plus years. We are following approx a decade later.

You’ve done exactly what Rupert Murdoch wants.
Murdoch has your number.

I’ll ask again how is the high street doing?

Depends on one’s line of work. Sometimes a meeting can save many emails & misunderstandings. But only those *directly* involved need attend others can be informed via email.

The f***** obsession with meetings!
In my experience those that need to go rarely want to (they must to resolve issues), they’d rather get on with work. Those that want to go, do so to look good, brag to friends/ relatives/ colleagues & waste time. If you are in the latter sort yourself out.

As with all bad things, it started with Murdoch. He was the key instigator of it here.

How’s the high street looking? The consequences of that being?
Change is ok as long as it is done with eyes open to the ramifications. Change for the sake of change makes one susceptible to populism.
Print news, maybe, but many signalled the end of books & vinyl - that trend has bucked.

Labour did very well in metropolitan areas & many were Remain voters. Leave did well in rural areas & that’s where the Tories flourished ‘10-‘24. They voted Labour because they slowly (late in the day) realised Brexit was a sham.
