No question. Up to our necks.

Unbelievable! Why are people so ready to believe political smear campaigns - especially against a thoroughly good person like Zoe Daniel? And particularly, when the alternative is to vote for a proven turd like Tim Wilson?!

Franklin is also my electorate and I was delighted to see Peter George do so well. Never expected him to actually win, given Julie Collins' 13% margin, but he did manage to reduce her votes considerably. Well done!

Defunct, ready for the skip.

My recollection is that Labor did more of the refusing to compromise and I have vivid memories of Albo quite nastily attacking the Greens. Doubtless, however, both parties need to do better with co-operation during this next term.

I was really hoping for a strong Greens result and a minority ALP government for that very reason
But hey, as our Ms 14 said this morning:
"Well this shows most of Australia isn't nuts, right?"

That was my hope too and I voted accordingly. Unfortunately for our country it was not to be. But Ms 14 is right - it could have been a lot worse.

My fear is that Albo will interpret Labor's election success as voter satisfaction with his government's 1st term performance. In which case we may see more of the same - more 'tinkering', more gaslighting, more turning a blind eye and more embracing of the status quo. Hope I'm wrong!!

You are not alone. To add insult to injury the ABC immediately followed up with a seemingly endless interview with the awful Dan Tehan and his even more awful accent. Enough already!!

Let us hope for a spine. My worry is that Albo will interpret Labor's success as voter satisfaction with his government's 1st term performance and complacently offer us more of the same. In reality he was seen as the least worst option.

For me, Laura Tingle was the saving grace of the entire lacklustre ABC panel, but for some unfathomable reason she's been given so few chances to have her say. Disgruntled.

My heart sank to see Ferguson, Speers and that Kitchen Cabinet person at the commentary desk. Then I spotted Laura and felt such relief that all was not lost.

I second every line of your post, but it is the last line that I am absolutely holding my breath for.π

Agree 100%. Contempt is the word. Hard to comprehend their obsession with self-interest at the expense of the common good.

Am confident the Liberals are cooked anyway, but to see Dutton lose his seat would be the icing on the cake, plus all the accompanying cream and candles.ππ

Impossible to imagine that we won't follow suit. Dutton is toast.

Yes please - thoroughly burnt toast requiring replacement.

Dutton lies at the rate of Trump and Netanyahu. It's as if the three of them are in some sort of dastardly contest.

Sadly, another example of Aunty persistently losing her way, popping up in dark places, and rapidly losing respect.

His reaction was instinctively 100% Trump. They were made from the same mould.

"A stain on Australia" is absolutely spot on (no pun intended). Well said.

Channelling Trump yet again. He simply can't help himself. A substance and integrity free zone.
