He needs the pick-me-up, he recently lost to a curb in popularity
And he’s getting roasted left and right for constantly repeating that sidewalks will stop gun violence?? We’re a weird district, even for Seattle…

Maybe this is too basic but daily scheduled noise canceling headphone time?
Hangouts with folks helps me unwind usually, but in full burnout mode, it doesn’t help the same way. Controlled sound time is a huge help
That and a good sleep cycle, but let’s face it, ND and young kids? lol to that idea

I know time is precious, but if you have it, buying whole pepper corns, toasting them on low in a dry skillet till they smell nice, letting them cool back down, then grinding them
It’s a real treat and worth it, if you’re able!

No shame in slapping on some icy-hot pads
They work amazingly on sore butts. From squats or getting back in to bike riding too

The best kind!
And I don’t the science behind it, but al pastor cooked on the side of the road just tastes better! It’s undeniable!

You’re absolutely right
But…
Clueless jerks broke those baristas’ spirits. Hand them exactly what they ordered and they start yelling “I wanted it iced. Don’t you know it’s hot outside??” Then start asking for the manager…
The “iced or hot” is the voice experience; sad, sad experience

Yesss! I’ve been working in my “mostly” oven methods and I gotta say, I’m loving not having to get up in the middle night to check the coals/smoker
Still working on the balance of long oven time with a grill finish for a bit of smoke, but no complaints today!

I think you sharing these details is kind of a gift
It’s really insightful and gives some ideas to mull over to help better understand some stuff about a parent who raised me and some struggles friends are dealing with now
Not to be too cheesy/sincere, but I’m really grateful for your openness

I 100% believe it’s better with a 50/50 mix of full fat cottage cheese and whole milk ricotta than just ricotta
Add in an egg or a few yolks, plus some herbs, perfection!

I think it’s only possible on business Google accounts (and you still have to contact support to do it..)
I removed it from Google business accounts I manage and I’ve tried the same for my free/personal account. They never respond. I’ve been checking for settings/reaching out monthly, no luck :(

I’m a little embarrassed but any reward that sends me something in the mail
It’s so silly, but getting a little treat when I open the mail box really makes my day
Can be a sticker, little art card, anything really, as long as it comes in the mailbox!

Now it’s years later, kids are in a good space finally, school wise.
But trying to explain a 7 year gap?? Pffft can’t even get call backs to try
Feeling a bit a drift, at a time where having a job to ground me would be a really, really good thing :(

I was so lucky, when my youngest came along, I was able to choose to stay home until she started pre-school at 3. Guess what month she was supposed to start? April 2020
So instead of job searching, it was homeschooling and just trying to keep my head above water with my older at risk kid

Was chatting with my middle schooler about this recently and while he isn’t using it, he brought up how frustrating it is that some of his teachers are using it for syllabi and work they’re giving to classes
Makes me wonder how much of that is happening all around, gave me something to think about

Oo same! Moira Quirk with The Locked Tomb series is another one where the narration is so good, I re-listen to it often

Yeah, that’s them!
If you get really lucky, finding a pho place that has them is amazing. They’re so good alongside pho broth

Oo, gotta find a Chinese restaurant that has youtiao! They’re long, super puffy savory doughnuts. Like the texture of a cruller
They get served with soup or congee often and they’re sooooo good!
