EEF is a serious org that has fought for net neutrality and other good things, so I think they have the credentials but they're treating it like U.S. State affiliated media because they said mean stuff >:(

2. These kids are like basically "they banned Vicodin in my country so instead now I'm doing cocaine!!!!!!" (Again, partially the gov's fault) and they aren't really liking it when they're told about the dangers of cocaine.

Just to clarify:
1. I think that the US congress really screwed up in that bill, OBVIOUSLY they were going to find alternatives one way or another.
Why didn't they pass instead a robust privacy bill targeting all social media, no matter if they're American, Chinese, European, from Pluto.

Tho it's such a shame that in my country WhatsApp is basically essential for day-to-day communication and you just can't talk the boomers (or anyone out of the loop really) into changing platforms

+ I think the sooner we stop using the other social media the less corrosive effect they'll further have on society.
The internet must return to the era of a thousand small forums, the status quo (big social media sites) is in someway a monoculture and we're harvesting the worst
