It was great going to the @standupfornuclear.org protest in Belgium, but depressing that there's so many of them for closures of nuclear power plants. Unbelievable that gas is getting this handout in 2025!!

🇩🇪 BREAKING Incoming German Chancellor Friedrich Merz says on live television "It is necessary to reach a moratorium on dismantling of nuclear plants" This will put Germany on a path to restart their nuclear plants! 🔌💡 www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJCg...

How hard is it to reopen German nuclear plants? 🧐

CO₂ and sulphur dioxide emissions have been decoupled. CO₂ has a very long atmospheric lifetime, accumulates, and causes global warming. While atmospheric sulphur is very short lived (it rains out) and causes regional and global cooling by dimming the sun

A short article, but important wake-up call: we determine now how bad things are going to get. In my view we either ignore nuclear and dream on about a "100% renewable" future that in reality is backed by loads of fossil fuel, or we actually move to zero […] [Original post on greennuclear.online]

In exactly one month from now, Belgium will again execute a #climate #crime! #Doel1 NPP will be permanently and prematurely shut-down, due to a stupid law voted back in 2003! Please come and join us to show your support against this premature closure on 15.02.2025! standupfornuclear.be

Japan sees nuclear and solar as the cheapest energy sources in 2040 🇯🇵☢️ ⚡ The total system cost for nuclear power is the cheapest option in all but one scenario ☀️ Solar power could be cheapest or most expensive depending on scale of intermittent renewable sources on the grid

Carbon dioxide (CO₂) averaged 424 ppm in October 2024 10 years ago October averaged about 397 ppm Preliminary NOAA data: gml.noaa.gov/ccgg/trends/ 🧪⚒️

For all the skeptics out there… it is possible to bring some of Germany’s NPP’s back online! Let’s show that it’s also possible to do the same in Belgium 🇧🇪 The Nuclear revival is happening! 😊 🦋⚛️🦋
