I got several postcards by these two at TolkienCon earlier this year, and I couldn't be more in love with them...! Two wonderful artists.

It's on a world tour rn, maybe you'll get to see it, after all!

Omg love it 😆

64 lists submitted so far, 196 musicals mentioned. I'm having the best time 😄

I think you've already got the most important things. Maybe also jewellery?

Thank you! They're always gone too soon, though 🥲

Haha thank you!! That's very reassuring because I struggle a lot with descriptions in general 😅

Maybe they'll get more comfortable as the tour continues - that was the case with the Watermill Theatre cast in 2023. Towards the end, everyone was extremely touchy and emotional. The theatre posted this with the hashtag couplegoals haha

Ohh I just found this thread! I'm so happy to hear you enjoyed it <3 Éowyn was there in the very first production back in 2006, but yup, she was cut because the show was too long. It's a pity there wasn't that much chemistry between Frodo and Sam in Sydney, seems to be down to the actors indeed!

I'll add one more thing, a (subtitled) song from the Melkor 'song opera' - but be careful, it WILL get stuck in your head. youtu.be/0y9ztLUrNfc

Yup, four of these have English subtitles! Fëanor a jeho synové (2018), Děti Húrinovy (2019), Pád Doriathu (2022) and Eärendilova plavba (2024). Falešné společenstvo are an amateur theatre group and write, choreograph and perform all of their musicals themselves. They're awesome (and so kind).

If you couldn't make it to the previous streams, you have another two chances to watch Pád Doriathu next Saturday (8 Feb) - now with complete English subtitles ✨️ www.tumblr.com/a-mountain-h...

Turns out the Evil Book of Dark Magic has super cute little Ghibli-esque illustrations of crows & bats alongside the (surely) wicked text

Next to the professional, licensed shows, of course! In the past, I've also included shows based on the life of J. R. R. Tolkien. Those aren't adaptations in the strict sense, but still relevant to anyone interested in the calendar.
