but honestly my absolute favourite moment in this episode is when Becca speculates about the covers of 80s DND manuals and Adrian, instantly, in tones of perfect knowledge: ‘No.’ real I Was There Gandalf energy.

also -- it's worth checking out all @aptshadow.bsky.social's excellent work but we did ask him beforehand what he'd say his Most Homeward Bounders book is, so if you're looking for a wine pairing for this episode, a strong recommend for "The Doors of Eden" in particular!

sheer luck. honestly, there is so much DWJ influence in my work that it's not surprising it lined up. And the early 80s is when she does School Books - this and Witch Week are the obvious ones, but there's a lot of it in Caprona and Homeward Bounders as well!
