I feel this, my mum died 24 years ago and it’s still a tough day. Having my own kids around helps a lot, but it’s an emotional day for sure ❤️

I know what you mean, although I quite enjoy going under the radar sometimes tbh. Eg, since going grey, I don’t get random men telling me to “smile love, it might never happen” 🤬

I’m very sorry to hear that things are so tough for you. I don’t have any glib solutions to offer, but I’m in your corner and I’m sure many others are too. ❤️

My granny said that too. Looking back, it was her way of telling my sister and I to go away and stop bothering her. No doubt she was tired etc, but we didn’t see her very often and we never built up a close relationship because she made us feel like a burden.

I visited the Valley of Rocks for the first time earlier this year. The setting is absolutely stunning, plus we also enjoyed the wild goats roaming across the road and around the car park!

School days are not necessarily the best days of your life. I didn’t particularly enjoy secondary school and I was delighted when university turned out to be much better!

Oh that’s gross-some men seem to see women existing in public spaces as an invitation to behave like a creep. I don’t know how you find the strength to deal with it ❤️

Seeing Malcolm Marshall bowl for Hampshire at the old Rose Bowl ground in Southampton in the 80s. On the TV, it was Derek Randall - such a gifted fielder (and batter of course)

A lovely concert - the Esenvalds was particularly moving. And bonus points for a warm venue!

(2) Au pair (France)
(3) Solicitor
1 and 2 both being attempts to put off training to be 3.
Now an in-house legal translator/editor, so I guess 3 was worth it after all!

Delighted to meet you again on the other side! I’m a non-musical chorister parent and your observations about the choral world have really opened my eyes…. 😀
