None currently Patrick, unfortunately. But if we bring it back later this year we’re hoping to get some dates in Belfast and Derry.

understood, I get ya. They needed to make a case and for you & they didn’t. Sure look, we’ll report back to do it all again in four years anyway 🫡.

Fair enough. I don’t think what I posted above is a complaint though, more an observation of what parts of the electorate are willing to put up with.

Same. We seen none, every leaflet but nobody canvassed or knocked at all. The Twitter thing is fascinating to me. Less than 30% of the country were on it in 2020 as per article in the IT, I’d say that’s a lot less now. Many TDs have no SM presence and top the poll. It doesn’t win seats.

Yeah in some areas in the low 20%. People have been convinced nothing can change.

Extremely low turnout in working class areas and a boundary redraw that put half of Fethercairn in a different constituency than their next door neighbour.

Sorry should have phrased it how effective is the mandatory voting and you answered that. There was a Constitutional convention here that recommended lower the voting age to 16, never enacted though as establishment parties thought it would favour left wing parties. We could do with mandatory here!

Totally agree and lower the age to 16! How does the the Aussie model of mandatory voting work in reality?
