FYI to artists: I'm told that Discord has updated to add generative AI to its systems that allow users to edit ANY image using AI without permission. As of right now, I don't know that there are opt-outs on this. I'd personally be wary of sharing images on Discord.

I'd never consider using reference "cheating" but personally I stunted my own artistic growth for YEARS because I couldn't draw without reference! I never learned the BASIS of forms so I couldn't create, rotate or alter them to suit my design. I was 100% stuck to whatever the reference looked like.
