i am genuinely worried about how they will react when trump seizes their guns. their whole brand is on the line if they comply, and trump will absolutely bad-hombre inf.*ars audience over any number of things when he starts squeezing. investigating getting film for my windows. not kidding.

if you're a mac user you have zero reason to give nvidia any money of course. they don't even make drivers for us.
you can run large 100-200b models on a mac and no need for a $1200-$7000 GPU. in fact a mac studio with 256GB of memory saves me thousands over an hp z-series with an nividia GPU.

3/2 that is a real shame cuz what i've been really interested in having a voice assistant that i can use as a brainstorming partner or just when i am walking through a bunch of ideas or material because i retain and learn best by talking rather than just listening or reading. not always an asset.

2/2 @spavel.bsky.social but the Memory feature was added and there was a really elegant and smooth interaction when an AI agent "calls" you on your R1, and you have a conversation where the agent learns the ABCs of me. it was so good and natural, but you can't request one ad hoc only for memory init

A lot of people are completely unaware of what Rabbit has been doing lately. The ill-advised shitshow they launched with is long gone at this point and they're allowing all owners of an r1 to have 9 requests a day to their Intern agentic AI bot. it's similar to something like Manus at a glance. 1/2

i certainly prefer that too, but it's not always easy to tell what is propaganda and what is news for many people. is it craigslist's fault for killing classified revenue or something π i am seeing new content filters using ai to rank sources and customize your incoming feeds. expensive stuff.

i am stunned loomer and the rest of the weirdos aren't up in arms about kash patel saying epstein killed himself π AND that they still don't have the list they were PROMISED. this should be a huge problem for them, but i'm not seeing it bleed over into my bubble of awareness.

they're certainly sticky, the people watching are only watching that based on my experiences in homes of trump's electorate over the last four years.

like in broad daylight he's been handed billions in USD for people buying trump memecoins and nobody gives a shit about it enough to insist on an answer to any questions about it. he'll just scurry off to his Populist Palace in the Sky and ask for more middle eastern buyers for his g-ddamn coin.

they might not buy it but they'll want it, and eventually it'll be the default device of its type. the iMac and iPod and G5s and Pros and every iteration of macbook he shipped was recognizable immediately.

but that's not what ive does, he's more like a staggeringly brilliant predictive product designer that knows how to make mundane objects feel luxurious and gratifying to use in an almost visceral way. surely dissertations have been written on this sort of thing designers can do other people can't.

i replaced my kitchen echo show with an iPad and an airplay adaptoid to use a 2.1 speaker setup on top of the fridge but kept homePods. i def prefer a wakeword buffer as opposed to a real time surveillance feed to amazon.
framed this way i don't think Avg People buy A Jony Ive Interface Device ever

idk i looks more like my relationship with apple where i do believe they make beautiful things but i intentionally overlook the things they completely fail to execute on. teenage eng hardware designs are usually brilliant, but think of them as individual instruments. they're very personal to users.

i treated the r1 like the backstabber it was from day 1, but if you look around lately there's a more positive coverage; they rebuilt their entire platform, less staggeringly stupid at any rate (x11 vnc wta?)
you can also install android 13 on it, but i haven't found a great android speech UX (yet)

not here. my #HASS voice PE pucks were an AI-First purchase for talking to a household AI. i use them all day. i love my phone and all too, but i genuinely prefer an AI interface that isn't the black mirror.
i can't wait to see what this device is, cuz i adore ive's work. he's another FLW for me.

i don't know if you know this about me, but i have a bit of a Bag Problemβ’οΈ; messengers totes slings packs rolltops. all variety of materials. i favor some over others but the only words for
bag that i don't care for are "fanny pack" and the iowa favorite at retailers when you make a purchase: "sack"

the fact that fuji renders noise as grain in their jpegs makes me forget all about the things i would change sometimes π i love their new MF but what the fuck do i think i will actually benefit from considering i rarely print > 17"

the alt text explains the underexposure. i am pathologically incapable of accepting blown highlights. i am the film-like-s-curve and fade guy.

i am surprised i like these lenses but i like these images! they remind me of an old M-mount in the outer areas? some dreamy ambiguity in edges like those clouds!
i think i am going to get an x100vi in the near future and maybe the IR conversion on the F would allow someone a chance to correct evf

the sensor does have a premium but to their credit every camera fujifilm sells costs them money. it is absolutely a labor of love, something american companies have completely forgotten about. i didn't get into fuji's systems for the sensor but i would today. it really is remarkable. especially GXes

i used to have media training when when i was working at a company in the early aughts. i was the nerd that they sent on ride-alongs while wardriving to map open wireless networks.
then i do did security awareness segments for a tv station in Boston but i haven't been asked to get trained in years!

i got whiplash at how fast SeaArtAI went from being my favorite flux/dev composer, and rapidly devolved into a super gross lolimill. cranking out endless media with prompts including "looks 13" "19 but looks 12" etc. it's a mess and with models like Dio's incredibly conversational speech and mimic?π¬

i am a fujifilm/leica slinger. film an f5 and mamiya 645afd but a fujifilm is always my instinctive reach. i adore them. the xseries cameras are universally photographer cameras. i handed my xp2 to a stranger that has a degree in photography and she was like "whoa this is digital? and MANUAL?" YESπ

is that really the only downside because i think samsung product engineers are pretty meh for consumer electronics.
eg ice makers that eject all the ice to your kitchen floor at 2:41am or the washer that fucks up the temperature or something π the Q series tv that died in 10mo the anemic subwoofer.
