Job fair experience yesterday was depressing. 20 odd companies filled a small conference room for an audience of former federal workers and contractors. Lots of law enforcement, IT, and some defense contractors. Problem was, none of the companies had actual recruiters there.

Because I am a Recognized Safety Person on the Internet, I get questions. Specifically, about personal protective equipment (PPE) to take to a protest assuming a cop riot will happen. I have a meta-answer people do not like. Bringing PPE to a protest will be claimed as a intent to resist arrest.

That time I ran into Justin Timberlake wrapped up in a giant scarf, walking kind of like a robot, on 8th St. He made eye contact and accidentally* let his scarf drop so I could see it was him. He fled, then a bunch of young women came around the corner, breathless, saying 'i think he went that way!'
