I often read over half a book before I give up on it. As far as I'm concerned, I've read the book. I can have a conversation about it. That the system doesn't t count DNFs means they are disinsentivising people from DNFing. I've noticed I'm more likely to give up on a book much sooner, for example

It tracks, but doesn't count. It won't add those pages to the page count and the book doesn't show up in your recently read list. It won't be added to any graphs, either. There are ways to find the book, but as a general rule, the book doesn't show up anywhere.

Yes! I read the first 2 or 3 when they came out. I might try to see if I can get them through my library after my read through of the Mercedes Thompson series 😊
