So proud of you & happy that the world is learning about your fathers & your story 🫶🏻☘️🐐 @karenkrussell.bsky.social

After watching the second episode of Celtics City, I bought and read a copy of Bill Russell’s first memoir and wrote this piece on how the absence of anything resembling his voice is felt in today’s NBA, and throughout the country: www.theringer.com/2025/03/11/n...

@karenkrussell.bsky.social was great on #CelticsCity tonite @HBO ⚖️🍅

The @bostonglobe.com wants to know how you’re making ends meet, or whether you are falling behind, for a series about affordability and the middle class. Are you cutting back on the essentials? Considering a move? Please share with us! www.bostonglobe.com/2025/03/06/m...

"Al Green stood up. Would like to see more people stand up," wrote Ezra Levin, the co-founder of the progressive group Indivisible. www.commondreams.org/news/al-gree...

🚨 Trump’s speech tomorrow won’t mention this → he wants to slash food assistance for hungry families while handing billionaires another tax break. Watch my remarks on the state of hunger in America here: youtu.be/_VJGlwotlMk?...

Talk is cheap, GOP senators. Start voting against Trump’s nominees and agenda, or sit down and stop wasting everyone’s time and attention.

@Celtics #7 @fchwpo.bsky.social continues to lead on & off court incl investing in #Oakland where he toured Bill Russell’s H.S via @noadalzell.bsky.social ⚖️🏀 @karenkrussell.bsky.social @becomingbryna.bsky.social

At NBA All-Star, I kept telling anyone who would listen that undoing the Civil Rights Act KILLS SPORTS. The “freedom” to not serve people at restaurants and hotels, ends modern sports. My parents couldn't get served on their honeymoon after Daddy won his 2nd NCCA title, Olympic Gold & NBA ring

NEW FEATURE: Ten years after Jaylen Brown attended UC Berkeley, he returned to the Bay to massively invest in the community that shaped him. "I’m here to fight with you guys." "His vision of helping others is like no other." My story from Oakland: www.sbnation.com/nba/2025/2/2...

Don’t follow me on IG? I just wrapped my very first live to keep you updated on what’s happening in the country. Follow me for more live updates: www.instagram.com/repmcgovern?...

The bureaucratic putsch is underway. This is more impeachable than Jan. 6. If this develops into the uniform posture of the Administration (as it seems likely it will) we are at the end of a 236-year road if Trump cannot be impeached and removed for this.

Pulling for @urbanistcole.bsky.social & everyone in L.A. area

Bezos has really upped the ante for billionaires debasing themselves to gain favor with Trump.👇 Cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit the Washington Post because it refused to print a cartoon mocking tech and media billionaires for sucking up to Trump. anntelnaes.substack.com/p/why-im-qui...

The kowtowing by the Washington Post is a tragic dereliction of duty.

New in PN: The press is ignoring the real Liz Cheney scandal "These stories don't communicate the fact that Cheney didn’t commit an actual crime and this is all meritless. The Times plays up Trump’s strongman image, as if he’s the buff antagonist in a movie. This gives Trump exactly what he wants."

Way to go Liz. This is just insane

I'll see this beautiful group of people tomorrow morning @ 6 a.m. for a Walk for the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts with Monte Belmonte and Jim McGovern. Chip in for our neighbors' food security if you can: secure.foodbankwma.org/site/TR/Even...

Thank you to all who joined last night’s Town Hall. For those who were not able to join or only joined for part of the event, the video recording, slideshow presentation, and transcripts (English, Spanish, and French) are available here: senatorjocomerford.org/the-peoples-.... #mapoli

A judge in El Salvador ruled Nov. 18 that the country's former president, and 10 others, will stand trial for the wartime killing of six Jesuit priests, their housekeeper and her teenage daughter in 1989.

To be clear, we do have plans for scaling, we just kinda expected more than a couple days notice before getting blasted with a million new users a day. The team is rapidly deploying fixes and new software to adapt. More servers in the mail.

Out of every national election some institutions decay and die, while others emerge and grow stronger. Legacy media is a sad example of the former. Bluesky is a hopeful example of the latter.

The NC legislature, about to lose their gerrymandered GOP supermajority in weeks, is engaged in some troubling extreme partisanship, dropping some major structural and procedural changes to NC elections in a "hurricane relief" bill during their lame duck session. /1 ncnewsline.com/2024/11/19/l...

While the reality of the next Congress is yet to be determined, Jim McDermott's firsthand observation of the Senate Judiciary Committee under Sen. Dick Durbin shows what can still be achieved in a time of polarization.

"This world is full of walls that divide peoples, and of regimes that impose ideological purity tests on writers," Arash Azizi writes. "If writers are to use our collective powers, it should not be to add to them":

"But, not all is lost. Courts are playing a major role in protecting voters. Despite concerted Republican efforts to attack voter registration and election rules, pro-voting groups won nearly three times as many lawsuits during the 2023-2024 cycle." www.democracydocket.com/analysis/how...

Release the Gaetz report. Pass it on.
