I don't think I've even thought about Arakawa Under the Bridge in about 10 years, until this scene suddenly popped into my recommendations. This season has been a bit lacking for me, so this might actually be the perfect time for a rewatch.

You know, for all the issues originated and amplified by social media and the internet in general, at least I hope we can all agree having infinite access to free music of all genres by countless talented artists we'd never know about otherwise is a pretty awesome perk.

My DDS Excel-drawn map is slowly taking shape. Seeing it grow after every play session is actually kinda therapeutic. The larger floors really threw off the symmetrical look I was going for, though.

The 2025 PC Far Cry 3 experience: Buy the game on sale for 5 bucks. Doesn't look terrible for a 12 year old game, runs very well, but the HUD is massive for some reason. The only known fix is to render the game at 4k using DSR. Performance tanks once again.

Guess who just snagged a 5070ti for MSRP? Fingers crossed it doesn't arrive missing any ROPs. And doesn't melt my connector anyway despite the low power draw due to being in the height of Brazilian summer. 2 weeks until I find out.

One of the most interesting things about 80's/90's Japanese Fantasy is seeing how different their interpretations of the various races and monsters were compared to the West. Elves with massive ears, Kobolds as dog-people, orcs as pig-people, etc. And then we have Digital Devil Story's Goblins.

The Promise Mascot Agency demo is everything I was hoping it would be. I actually stopped playing before the timer ran out just so I can properly experience it all on release. I did have an issue with the pillarboxing during cutscenes, but that's easy enough to ignore. Definitely a day 1 buy for me!

Holy hell, someone at NVIDIA is having a really bad week. The one time I finally manage to save up for a higher tier graphics card, too.

I knew Skald was at least partially inspired by the Ultima series, but I really didn't expect it to include a certificate of completion! That's a great little detail, for sure.

Imagine an entire game like this: some of the greatest, most beautifully rendered environments around, populated by these ugly, deformed, almost ps1-era people. I would unironically love it.

I kinda wish we had a rhythm game full of Young Scrolls' music now.

From the Custom Mech Wars Steam page. This is so cursed, I love it.

It's interesting to note that all those little details, on their own, aren't very important but, when taken as a whole, can make a world of difference (janky as it may be). On that note, Fus-Ro-Dah'ing a room full of objects in Skyrim is still a magical feeling even 14 years later.

Buramato seems very promising! I'd like to see more gameplay before making up my mind, but the aesthetics look great, kinda like BOTW with a slightly anime bent (without going full uWu kawaii desu like a few games do). Also, the drone at 1:08 reminds me of Nier and I'm a sucker for everything Nier.

Protip: If you ever want to check your monitor's color accuracy, just grab a book with a really colorful cover and compare it to an Amazon picture or something. I can't believe it took me years to have that idea.

I just found out there are a bunch of Youtube music videos with gibberish in place of actual titles. It's bad enough trying to remember the name of a funny video I saw 10 years ago, now imagine if I ever try to find this one again in the future.

I needed a new pipette to refill the ink cartridges on my pens. The problem being you can't really find single pipettes for sale. Instead, I found a 100 pack for R$15. But free shipping was only at R$19 and over. And that's how I went from needing one pipette to owning a lifetime supply of them.

Playing 4:3 games in a ultrawide monitor always feels odd due to the massive pillarboxing, so I was thinking of ways to use that space. And I just had an idea: Using Excel as a mapping grid rather than relying on grid paper. I just started, so I don't know how convenient it'll be. Wish me luck!

Deepseek just unintentionally gave me the perfect answer.

I love that, as I play through the Yakuza games, Kiryu is slowly growing from a young idealist to the official Disappointed Dad of the Tojo.

I didn't think I'd ever see the day. Fun fact: The Sims was one of the first games I ever pirated, back when I was a preteen with loads of time and zero money. I'll finally be able to pay EA back for the hundreds of hours I spent trapping visitors to my richly-decorated home.

Holy hell. Settle down, people!

I've been uploading a bunch of VODs from my Hitman streams to Youtube, lately, and I think it's having an effect on their AI. When the robot uprising finally comes, I hope this will be a point in my favor.

I find it kinda funny that, when I saw the name "American Truck" in the PC-88 games list, I immediately thought it'd be a game about running people off the road with a massive 18-wheeler. And I was right.

I'm loving the writing, atmosphere, and art style of Skald, but I've got to say, I'd much rather experience it in some sort of Visual Novel-like format. The gameplay just isn't hooking me at all, especially in how forgiving it can be. For example...(SPOILERS IN THE IMAGE ALT TEXT)

Growing up as a gamer from the late 90's, it feels like storage requirements have suddenly skyrocketed. 90's, 00's, Early 10's: "Yes please" Late 10's: "SSD recommended for optimal results" Early 20's: "NVME OR GTFO" I wonder how long it'll be until games start demanding specific PCI generations.

I've just accidentally stabbed my monitor with a fountain pen. Go me!

Reading about the New York 🎮 Awards makes me wish we as a community came together to agree that it's much more sensible to host GOTY awards after that year's actually over. Also, I love the idea of a Best Remake award. They really should've had a Metaphor: ReFantazio Award for Best Chanting, tho.

Random Yakuza Grunt: "Hey, isn't that the Dragon of Dojima, the legendary ex-yakuza who beat up my entire clan armed with nothing but a pile of Staminans? I should teach him a lesson!" 10 seconds later:

Listening to some random 🎶 on Spotify, I landed into a song that made me stop and think "Hold on, this sounds exactly like Revolutionary Girl Utena". Turns out it was a commemorative album by the same composer and for once I'm grateful to "The Algorithm". Track 10 goes particularly hard!

I just saw the whole "video games are an anti-social pastime" thing, and I've gotta say, it's amazing how easily people forget. To everyone who felt offended by it, repeat with me: "Video games appeal to the Male Fantasy". Hopefully this will help you give that argument the respect it deserves.🎮

Found out Hunie Pop is free on Steam for the next few days, so OF COURSE I got myself a copy. And I've gotta say, it's really funny seeing a Danganronpa game mixed into the "More Like This" section. Imagine someone buying Ultra Despair Girls thinking it's hentai. 😶

Decided to drop Dragon Age for now and get back to my endless catching-up to current Yakuza. Just got to this cutscene in Part 2 of Yakuza 4 and saw some well deserved manly tears.

Finally got around to reading Heroes today. Inio Asano's art style is just so good!

Reading some more Flying Witch, I ran into this little dialogue. They're talking about how witches are connected to different elements and stuff, then Chinatsu chimes in with "Ah, so it's like Pokemon!". Considering recent events, I hope the Witches' Association has some good lawyers on payroll. D:

I just discovered I missed out on a spell tome in Dragon Age and now my magpie brain is tempting me to lose 5 hours of progress to go back to a previous save just so I can get it. Ignorance is bliss!
