It's time to call it. AI is built on a house of cards of intellectual property violations starting with Facebook which is starting to look a lot like a crime scene as held back discovery documents begin to be compelled and unsealed in court. /1

I was very interested in Nura's headphone tech. I owned a pair of their earbuds (until puppies destroyed them) and tried two of their other headsets. Surprised to find out they were acquired a few years ago "to integrate their personalized audio technology into Denon earbuds and headphones"

I used to be in a hardcore band...

Would you like your field recordings to be heard at the iconic Barbican Centre in London? We’re hosting an exclusive call for our community to provide the recordings for a new commission as part of the Feel The Sound exhibition. Submit recordings by 31 March: citiesandmemory.com/observatory-...

Never judge a book by it's cover and all that... This is surprisingly fantastic. I'd probably describe it as 'happy hardcore' - although I suspect the lyrical content isn't too happy. The melodies are whilst still being actually 'heavy' spider-god.bandcamp.com/album/posses...

Recently discovered, and currently crushing on, C'mon Tigre. How did I miss this? www.cmontigre.com

Think I'm going to try taking a month's hiatus from all these hyperbolic news cycles ...would ignorance be bliss? Probably not, but far less stressful

Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees by @patrickhorvath.bsky.social. Another disturbing gem - vaguely reminiscent of Dexter?

Demon by Jason Shiga. Another masterpiece.

Submitted my interpretation for @citiesandmemory.bsky.social's Sonic Heritage ...itching to share it, but should probably wait 👉👈

Nameless. One of the more memorable reads from a decade ago c/o Grant Morrison and @theburnham.bsky.social. Time to revisit?

America is so dumb / f#cked... The rest of the World is dumb f#cked. (EVERY country has its problems, but this is toddler level tantrum enablement)

Just need to work on a few small tweaks to this piece and then I'm done for @citiesandmemory.bsky.social. #Synthstrom #Deluge

Maia reached out to the World in a teeny but feisty package. St Thomas' Hospital back in 2012. I got very lucky capturing her first moments like this.

I did my best to capture my 2nd child's first moments as well as I did my first. Tilly entered the World stealthfully in the wee hours of a Sunday morning at Kings College Hospital back in 2018

Animals Are Really Great Friends And Companions

Managed to get some time to make a start on a piece for @citiesandmemory.bsky.social's 'Sonic Heritage' project – citiesandmemory.com/heritage/ ...here's a quick snippet: soundcloud.com/encosion/tun...

Inspired by MXpand’s work, I played around with a light-based skin to help surfacing shortcuts for people with bad eyesight like me... #Deluge #Synthstrom encosion.com/post/7746376...

Many years ago Yumi asked me to contribute to her 1pm Thursday slot on NTSlive, so I made this mixtape: www.mixcloud.com/encosion/yun...

In memoriam: A mixtape I made in memory of my pal Alex. Some of his favourite tracks, some field recordings of our adventures and other stuff that reminds me of him... #mixtape www.mixcloud.com/encosion/nob...

I think countries around the world should levy tariffs specifically on Tesla in response to US tariffs, as well as banning Twitter as a national security threat driving a wedge between our co-dictators may be the most effective thing they can do

18 years ago... Saw this with my buddy, Alex (R.I.P.), who was a huge fan... That album was a grower and a classic. Didn't think they could top Chutes Too Narrow...

A slower piece around my cat purring w/ field recordings around the house on a rainy day; my daughter dragging her feet across wooden slats of a huge swing (Buxted 2022); singing tree frogs (Antigua 2022); metal ruler as bass 'synth'. #Deluge tim-ferguson.bandcamp.com/track/at-a-p...

Damon Locks smashed it out the park again: intlanthem.bandcamp.com/album/list-o... His last album was one of my top albums of 2001

Another track inspired by my daughter. She makes crazy dolphin-like clicks & pops w/ her mouth. Contact mic field recordings of a wall clock underpins everything w/ sprinkling of nepalese bells and some orchestra multi-samples #Deluge tim-ferguson.bandcamp.com/track/dolpha...

15 years ago... Some #gigphoto highlights of the Matthew Shipp drone improv set at Cafe OTO. Feat. J Spaceman, John Coxon and Steve Noble. encosion.com/post/3925103...

Rhythm inspired by, and built around, some loud speaker electronic interference (Marylebone 2009). 'Melody' from passenger flight field recordings (Singapore 2011). Intro recordings from a trip to 'Suoi Tien' religious theme park (Saigon / Vietnam 2011). tim-ferguson.bandcamp.com/track/birdie...

The remote work debate was funny because it forced the question "Is a job something valuable you do or is it a place you go to be watched like daycare" and the answer for a lot of them was yeah it's the daycare thing now come on inside recess is over

15 years ago I went on a date to this show... I now live with her and our 2 kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats, 3 rats and a mum-in-law

i know i'm talking a LOT about the glories of the 1990s/early 2000s web and YES part of it is nostalgia, but i honestly believe that bringing back human-made blogging and links free from Meta/Twitter can actually contribute to our political and social survival in this new awful era so LET'S DO THIS

I don't recall exactly when I bought my #Deluge from Synthstrom, but it was in the first batch delivered. I had been trying to explore solo music making for over a decade and only had 2 or 3 tracks to show. Within the first year of owning my Deluge I had +10 tracks. It really resonated with me
