i think i finally got in by attempting to login three or so times, after giving up trying to do so a month ago. it's hitting some sort of race condition, the path of least resisitence might be to set up a passkey on the desktop site.

no it happened to me too. basically they broke auth on the mobile site when they implemented passkeys. it will ask you to auth with a passkey even if you haven't set one up and then loop over itself when you try to use a different 2fa method.

A lot of the appeal of bluesky is the lack of algo-pumped engagement in most feeds but it's ironically the fact that discover is so loosey goosey in its algo filtering that fuels this behavior as people keep butting up against other normal people outside their bubble and have no idea how to act

One thing to contend with is that for some reason there's a disproportionate amount of new users who never used Twitter (or used it in ways incomprehensible to others) and are used to more algorithmically curated feeds on insta and facebook
