Yes. Quoting a news article that seems to not exist, now that I search.

I recently read a 90s one-shot that I very much Did Not Enjoy. When I looked up the writer, it seems it was their mainstream breakout, and that they were not hired again. (No names, but it backs up Kieron’s point.)

If a human told you things that were correct 80% of the time but claimed, flat out, with absolute confidence, that they were correct 100% of the time, you would dislike them & never trust a word they say. All I'm really suggesting is for people to treat chatbots with that same distrust & antagonism.

We'll be hearing Cork people talk about this until we're all dead now.

Related side-note: my daughter’s tastes in comics don’t overlap with mine at all, but my goal was always to pass on my love of the *medium*, not my specific childhood favorites.

My kids have heard me say many times that every comic is a reading copy, and I’ve given comics to literally hundreds of kids over multiple Halloweens. My daughter has the best selection of graphic novels in her class, and has loaned half of them out. No comic is too precious to not be read by a kid.

I don’t think I’ve seen this technique before, but it’s immediately understandable that it’s what your POV character is/isn’t actually paying attention to. Not every day you add a new tool to the toolbox!

It felt like the time I heard Elon talk about my area of expertise (databases), and realized that underneath all that highly confident bluster is absolutely nothing.

The number of times he had to ride the Coney Island Chiropractor in one day just to film this ad, is mayor material all by itself.

I never see anybody linking to the Irish Independent, hear about them breaking a story, citing them for any reason, etc.

Making a sculpture in primary school? Sure, make your da an ashtray. Normal thing to tell a bunch of 8-year-olds back then.

This stance doesn’t fit with how much loving the *written* word is a major part of my personality, but people are strange.

He’s probably on X.

Most of my account’s followers are probably there for Irish politics, but they occasionally have to put up with some geeky deep-dive into DC Comics’ Mystery titles of the 1970s or some nonsense.

If a political windsock like Gavin Newsom is going ALL IN on defending democracy like this, then there is zero excuse for other "centrist" Democrats not to seize the opportunity. The vast majority of the public have been shown to hate what's happening, and want somebody to stand up to it.

Agreed. His best argument is that he’s an innocent fool with no concept of how his words would be interpreted by violent sectarians, and therefore should… remain… an elected official in Northern Ireland.
