Yeah that’s fucked up. And yes society is responsible for it. Do you condemn society as a whole because of it? Is a better world closer to what it is now — or is it closer to one in which there is no personal freedom and no possibility of a better situation? Society keeps both from being reality

I hope you guys are joking. You have a pretty rosey idea of the world if you think we’re better off without society. Ask the Neanderthals how being loners worked for them as a group.

When a hummingbird threatens you, take it seriously. All other birds are afraid of hummingbirds for a reason.

It’s also probably true that a service-based economy that we enjoy here would not be viable without IP. But there’s always a part that wonders what if we didn’t have these megacorps
comment in response to post
Isn’t that describing something that happens despite IP and often because of it? It gives corporations the ability to use an army of lawyers to crush smaller folks. IP also is how these corps get so impossibly huge. I knows it’s unrealistic to wind it all back…

Did you know homo erectus survived for 1.5 million years? That’s 5 times as long as humans have even been a thing.

Do you think we’re approaching some entropic feedback loop… how can that be when time goes faster? To be alive at this moment is mind-boggling improbable. On the one hand collapse has always taken a long time, but a short time in hindsight.

Let's not forget that the biggest question here: Does ICE have jurisdiction when they are running a prison on private property? Trespassing is a state crime. If the mayor was simply trespassing, they would need to call the local police or the sheriff like anyone else. medium.com/@lowlifelowt...

IP is harmful. A beautiful concept, but the tool of choice for weaponizing government and evading taxes.

Suspicion of being “illegal”. I agree they are thugs and kidnappers and terrorizing
comment in response to post
I read that with strong suspicions they do not need a warrant. Is this true? Leaving aside the fact that they are trying to hold and deport without due process…
