Gay people have worked everywhere while staying hideen for centuries, including the military. Civilian worked at those site too. Israël has bombes, willingly or accidently, civilian targets. You can hide behind your lies and pretend only "bad people were hurt but its not true.

[...] Instead of effectively addressing this issue [it] stake out an ideological position on care for transgender youth that is deeply at odds with [it's] own findings
- had to cut a lot but this is from the conclusion of the paper

The Cass Review was commissioned to address the failure of the UK National Health Service to
provide timely, competent, and high-quality care to transgender youth.

The cass review was written by a non scientist civil cervant helped by people linked to anti-trans grouped at the behest of right wing politicians and was debunked by actual scientists. Here is a paper from actual scientists : law.yale.edu/sites/defaul...
comment in response to

Lol the Cass Review is a partisan pseudo-scientific nonsense, it's been debunked all the way to sunday. It's been tailor made from the begining to destroy trans care, especially trans youthcare. It isn't worth the paper it's written on. The cass review is a lie.

Changed brought on by gender affirming care are CHOSEN. They are trying to FORCE changes those kid dread. There are teens commiting self harm rather than see their body go through puberty. This is about CHOICE, and the fascist desire for control.
comment in response to
post
The changed brought on by gender affirming care do not cause trauma, this has been proven again and again by peer reviews study all over the world. And they are trying to ban puberty blocker who don't cause changed, only delay them to provid the child with time to figure things out.

Europe isn't a single country, laws on this vary immensly, but the defender of the rights in France just issued a recomendation to expend access to gender affirming care, including for people under 18. Because they listened to expert opinions who overwhelmingly agree that it is completely safe

The dems don't give a single fuck about trans people, it's the republican who are obsessed with us. Dems are more than happy to throw us to the lions for political clout
comment in response to

They are condemning trans kid to suffer in the name of a made up fear
comment in response to
post
They are forcing trans kid to go through traumatic changes, most irreversible, despite the overwhelming agreement of the expert that gender affirming care is safe for children and reduces distress and long term effects of gender dysphoria

Saying : "We're here, we're queer, and we won't go back"

But yeah the ultimate goal of the pride is to disappear, it's to create a world were being LGBTQ+ is nothing special, nothing to be ashamed about, then we won't need to celebrate it. That would be the ideal. But as long as people are trying to push back into hiding we will keep standing up.
comment in response to

Things like talking in hush toned of that one family member who is "close friedn with another girl" instead of calling them what they are, girlfriends or even married. The point of the pride is that people are trying to invisbilise us and force us back into hiding and we won't.
comment in response to
post
I assume you mean LGBTQ+ people not whatever LBGQRx is. The notion of pride comes from the desire of part of society to hide us, treat our existence as shameful, something to be hidden. Quite litterally "hiding us in the closet", inventing by word to talk about us without acknowledging we exist.

It doesn't do anything to crime. It doesn't reduce it either. Yeah, the increase in crime at the time was mostly due to economic impact, but guess what the death penalty did ? Fuck all. Like it always does because the death penalty as a deterrent does. Not. Work.

It was abolished 40 years ago in France and we haven't really done cctv since the olympics. Also conveniently ignoring historical exemple.

Periods where the death penalty was used massively (bloody code in England, for example) have seen NO decrease in crime (in fact, they often were periods of high crime rate) The decades since the death penalty has been abolished in Europe (fr:40 years) have seen a major decrease in violent crimes.

Except a/ you won't find them without structural change to how we approach the case of pedophilia and rape in general and b/ with smaller cases you'll never be sure so you will kill innocents. Not to mention, the kids will still have been traumatised. But eh, at least we all murdered someone.

Marine killing bad guys ? That's a nice change from civilian...
comment in response to

You just want to kill the bad men and hope the problem goes way while children in the system, at home, in hospital, in (mostly) private school are being abused by smaller criminal who will never get caught cause no one wants to adress the actual issue.

The death penalty as a scare tactic has been tested for centuries it has *never* worked. England had public execution for pic-pocket in the 19th century... where pic-pocket took advantage of the disctraction to do their thing as their former colleague was dying. Death penalty does. not. work.

Would asshole like that get away with this for so long if we didn't treat victims like lier, if we didn't treat hierarchy as sacred, if we didn't let powerfull men do as they please ? No they wouldn't want. You just want to kill the men and pretend everything is fix because it's easy.
comment in response to

You're completely distorting my argument. Obviously not the kids fault, I never ever mentionned the parents, but yes it society's fault, because our society (and to a degree it's especially bad in France) doesn't treat rape as a serious offense, and blame the victims, and makes them feel unsafe
