I am happy to say the "Followers only" reply setting is getting implemented. We're also adding a way to set default reply settings If you want your posts to default to "Followers only," that'll become an option

I'd even say we need to stop using the word "experts," because, frankly, idiots no longer trust experts! I'm starting to think we need to come back down to the eighth grade insult-war level like them and argue in terms of "You're so stupid you think Bambi is a fish," to quote Gilda Radner

New post on the #PatientsUseAI Substack, by Gilles Frydman (@kosherfrog.bsky.social), the pioneering #PatientEmpowerment guy who in 1995(!) created ACOR, which helped save my life. Today he's *hugely* into generative AI for patients. Check it out! patientsuseai.substack.com/p/patientsus...

Primary care fields Pediatrics, Family Practice & Internal Medicine are having trouble filling their residency slots. Low pay, high admin burdens (prior authorizations w/low support) make these fields undesirable leaving many communities without access to essential care. buff.ly/4fQsFS9 medsky 🛟

"Zak’s involvement illustrates something exquisitely important: nothing about patient empowerment is a rejection of doctors." I agree entirely, Dave!

I'm thrilled to announce: I authored a four page article on #PatientsUseAI in Men's Health magazine, on newsstands now! It's GREAT to see patient empowerment in a well edited consumer magazine. Stories from the #PatientsUseAI Substack, and more! patientsuseai.substack.com/p/patientsus... #medsky

Great source of news and info. Give it a follow

Hey #MedSky I'm amazed nobody's yet posted this excellent piece, which I just stumbled onto on some other platform. It's good! (Why isn't Becker's VP/Editorial Molly Gamble over here yet??) www.beckershospitalreview.com/hospital-man...

Such an honor to be part of your work this past year, @yuriquintana.com Thank you for the invitation, and here's hoping we can find a way to continue the collaboration in '25!

It has been a while since I’ve seen @erictopol.bsky.social so excited about a development in as in this podcast with @mcuban.bsky.social and rightfully so IMHO. Trump should hire him as his healthcare-tzar ;-) will save more than DOGE all together AND oppose DOGE without adverse “side effects“

If you want to understand why healthcare pricing is horrific, the first thing to know is that our system puts 100% of the credit risk for deductibles, copays and co-insurance on hospitals and doctors. That's insane. We have turned them into Sub Prime Lenders 🧵

A smart colleague called me over to Xitter to see an excellent thread about #PatientsUseAI. Really good stuff - lots of thoughts. And then, as if by guarantee, in pops one of the resident demons I'd almost forgotten about. What a toilet.

Me! I'm going to be gross here: sometimes it feels like flipping up a toilet lid and discovering that somebody forgot to flush Sorry / not-sorry... ... but doesn't that match the kid's expression??

And here we bring you the latest about the genius who thinks he wants to fix US government spending. Or maybe he knows the truth, and he's just lying.

The other day I realized that half of what I do on bluesky is repost Eric Topol. Then I realized, that's not without reason: this guy's feed is 2/3 of a "what you need to know today" curation! :-)

I personally don’t celebrate gun wielding assassins in broad daylight under any circumstances. That being said: United HealthCare absolutely did try to kill me by trying to cut my chemotherapy dosage and I had to get my senator to intervene and it was one of the most traumatic weeks of my life.
