@joncooper-us.bsky.social, serious request. Would you mind posting who you're using for online news sources? Looking to expand what I watch/read. Thanks.

1. Grow a spine as a party. Stand up to this petty tyrannical wannabe king and then, as one party, tell it like it is! It is a bloodless coup, and I'm hoping that we have elections in the mid-term. 2. Give each Dem three tomatoes. Use them as they see fit during the SotU. I know what I'd do.

Thanks for pointing out your book was going to be a Black Friday deal on Amazon. I've purchased it and am looking forward to reading it.

Congrats! Any sale made on a book an author writes is a win. At least, it is in my "book." (pun intended LOL)

Articles, posts, etc., are always a good thing to share. Even experienced authors can learn new tricks and better practices. So... Yes. As far as what to cover...not sure, but I will read what you post. (and follow too) 😁

So glad I wasn't drinking anything when I read this! 😂

3/3 Substack is a good option as several authors are serializing on it. You can do a free or paid option for your subscribers and build an email list from their signups. There are other features, such as having more than one category and podcasting just to name two. Good community support as well.

2/3 Medium is a great platform, but I don't know if it would suit serialization. To me, it's more geared to article writing. I monetize my writing there, so I'm unsure about the free aspect. Still, it's a good platform—stable, well-known, and easy to use. However, there is no newsletter option.

1/3 I use all 3 of those. My website is WordPress, and it's easy to build and maintain, but I'm also an IT professional with experience using it. If you want complete control, then that's the way to go. You will need to deal with getting your site out to be found, so SEO experience is a must.

If it were I'd be in big trouble LOL. But no. Maybe I'm just overthinking it and being overly cautious. And I appreciate the feedback!

I beg to differ. The outline of my current WIP was a scene synopsis for each scene. The outline ran 27,799 words and took two weeks to finish. And I found out I don’t like outlining but it appears to be a necessary evil. 😂

I hear you on the transition. It is rough losing the followers and community that had been built up, but there is a community growing here!

Welcome, and glad you're here! On another note, I like the way your book covers are shown. I will have to remember that (and steal the idea) when I finally get published!

/final So that's the long version of who I am. I'm leaving a few thousand followers over on Twitter (I can't call it X, sorry) to begin here. The other platform has become such a cesspool that I just can't anymore. So I hope to meet new friends and interact with all of you. Thanks for reading.

/8 I do some gardening, photography, hiking, and camping, and I prefer mountain views to sitting on a beach. I occasionally bird watch and you can sometimes find me outside at night with my telescope, as I've been an amateur astronomer for too many years to count.

/7 Now that the hard things are out of the way, I am a writer. I write fiction, though nothing has officially been published yet. I write fantasy, supernatural thrillers, and mysteries. I also write non-fiction, including a memoir I am working on. You can find my links here: linktr.ee/ericdickey

/6 A political party, no, any group, political or other, has no right to force their morals or beliefs on anyone else. And if any of my Christian brothers or sisters say otherwise, remember that God gave everyone free will and never forced Himself on anyone. Freewill, not forced morality.

/5 I cannot and will not vote for any person in a party that will deny a woman her rights to her own body. I will not support a party that tells people what they can and cannot read or study. I will not support a party that tells me how to parent my children. That is not their job, nor right.

/4 As far as politics go, I have been a lifelong Republican, and yes, I voted for Trump in 2016. I didn't make that mistake in 2020 and voted Libertarian. This year, 2024, I voted a straight Democratic ticket for the first time in my life. I can say that the Cult of Trump, the MAGA Cult, is wrong.

/3 You see, my youngest daughter is gay and came out in high school. My oldest daughter is Bi. And I stand before them, protecting them from other's judgment, harassment, and threats. LGBQT+ community, you have the right to live and not be judged. I may not always understand, but I will not judge.

/2 To continue this intro... I am a follower of Jesus Christ. However, I am not God, nor do I walk on water. I am imperfect. To those of you who are part of the LGBQT+ community, please know that I do not judge or condemn you. I will defend your right to live how you want and how you choose.

Step four: MSM, stop belittling those in step one as less intelligent than the MSM. Example: CNN host Boris Sanchez (11/8/24) asked why a candidate would go on a podcast instead of 60 Minutes, claiming that the quality of questions asked vastly differs between the two—sheer arrogance on his part.

If only we could bring this to the US. That is a beautiful design!
