The Sound of Music. It was released when I was a boy. I watched it 3 times. I've never done this with any other movie. Don't tell anyone, but I fall in love with "Maria" every time. My second choice would be The Last of the Really Great Whangdoodles, a novel for children that's really fun.

Maria, you might just get your wish, once you realize his intentions are not about throwing rocks at people.

Not just the family but all zebras typically become referees. Maybe wolves (Wolf’s?) become kidlit authors.

I hope agents agree!

It is a classic. Ken’s message is powerful and his delivery is absolutely hilarious. I’ve watched or listened to to it countless times.

Thanks Cait. In this case, the twistedness is our own stereotyping of rock-throwing ogres. Poor guy can’t get a break. Or can he?

They certainly do! One of CHARLIE’s 2 inspirations was Sir Ken Robinson’s TED talk, “Do Schools Kill Creativity?”

Be careful what you wish for! Unless it’s representation, which I hope this trilogy gets.

Reminds me of my favorite college course: Greek and Latin Elements in English. I hope NIGHT RIVER sees the light of day.

I would definitely read this book. And probably buy a copy for a yellow-striped zebra I know. 😉

Love the creativity behind these pitches!

If your pitch makes me laugh out loud, the book must be even funnier.

I love the message that death isn’t the end, that loved ones live on in our hearts and minds.

Thanks. I struggled with comps (even the idea of them) for a while but ultimately found a process that works for me.

I like the idea, but Charlie’s not so sure.

I bet you can guess whether he does.
