Building a site on the default theme seems more and more plausible as the block editor improves... So much of page layout is about the editor and blocks, not theme templates.

For tldr types: 1. You'll always face hard tradeoffs. 2. Hiring and managing a team is very hard. 3. Do more marketing (even if less product). 4. Find and increase your 'best' customers. 5. Learn to say no to good ideas.
