@emreadsthebooks.bsky.social Yes! Baldwin’s work saved my life when I was 15 years old and quite lost. I happened upon his books and essays in the local com. college library in a sq. state. Our public HS teachers took us there and encouraged us to use it as the HS library “had limited resources.”

Many of the people behind “Project 2025” and their antecedents do; doesn’t take a conspiracy theory to know what these faux christians are up to. They believe in, wish and work to make the end times happen sooner and be awarded an express lane to heaven knowing the rest of us will rot in hell.

With President Musk and his idiot puppet are FIRING virologists, preventing CDC from publishing its finds, withdrawing from WHO, where do you see that WE ARE PREPARED this time? B/C as a retired Dr. I’m scared to death by the gross incompetence of our “leadership” who I believe aim to kill us all!!

And, demand that your state and local governments cease buying anything from these same companies including any services of any kind, especially Amazon tech services. Be sure that no more Nazi-wagon Teslas are purchased and avoid riding in them too. There are equivalent or even better options.

It's almost as if the policy changes are INTENDED to have a negative impact on recruiting. Who could possibly benefit from a weakened US military?

If Hegspeth was heckled by military families, it is even more evidence that they so-called military leaders have failed the troops. I detect a need for some moral courage to go along with the scrambled on hat visors.

Looks like whining “white boy inclusion” syndrome resulting from job position qualification requirements being set aside, no hiring process standards, no quality candidate recruiting strategies and background checks left undone or ignored. A “business president”? Not!

The investigation would take money and resources the USA no longer has. The people who could do a proper investigation have been fired or hobbled and they are pilfering the treasury while destroying the full faith and credit of our monetary system. Our credibility around the globe is almost gone.

Hope folks don’t watch it. At least turn off the ads and don’t buy any of the promoted products or services from any sponsors who’ve abandoned all pretense of humanity and fairness by caving to Trump, his broligarch owners and the weak Republican fraidycats tagging along for the grift.

Guess what happens when we slow and/or stop the sentinel research and advanced vaccine strategy development and anticipatory production mgmt? Not done by the private sector as they can’t make immediate profits on it to enrich their shareholders so it MUST be an essential Fed Gov function!

I suspect Trump and most of his appointments plan to use the government like an ATM.

Time for all municipal, county and state governments to boycott all things Amazon including any web services for any of their operations. Same for any other corporation complicit with Trump, the trashing of the construction and the elimination of the rule of law. Buy local. Costco if you can’t?

Might you please consider taking Massachusetts and New York as well?

…and why didn’t our journalists already do that before the election? Apparently, a majority of US Senators have also forgotten this too and would be humiliated or, worse, they are so scared of Trump they have chosen to be “Quiet Quitters” accepting welfare salaries from taxpayers for doing nothing.

Guessing the virgin reference is related to the fact he has no real experience for the whiny white boy DEI oligarch purchased position he has now. As a person no way. He’s as pure as a warehouse of used toilet wipes in a giant septic tank.

First test for Trump: ask him in public, with cameras rolling, to clearly list and explain the branches of government and the concept of separation of powers and the roles and functions of each branch in carrying out their assigned functions vis a vis “checks and balances” for a democratic republic.
