$200k from Mellon to each of the humanities councils that lost funding from NEH (which is mandated funding in the NEH legislation). It's one time and won't fill the budget hole, but v good to see.

A fantastic, must-read article! The history of expatriation in the early US is relevant in other ways as well, specifically as it relates to border crossing. The right to expatriation often included the belief that crossing borders entitled people to citizenship in the nation of their choice.

Does the administration know that there are research universities in red states?
