An immunocompromised relative recently had to have a procedure that needed to be unmasked. A week later they had pneumonia, and after that followed complications from treating the pneumonia. 𤬠Only now slowly recovering.

Not sure. I know it went down one weekend along with all the other NIH websites (including Commons, which almost gave me a heart attack bc I was trying to review grants), but I havenāt had reason to do a full search recently. Thatās too bad. Have you seen this possible alternative? europepmc.org

PubMedās incredible usefulness is probably what would make it be a target. But they wouldnāt have to take it down to destroy it. Just screw up the search algorithm, and exclude certain topics/journals/papers from search results. š

They talk about āallowingā people to apply for a new award like itās a favor, as though HHS didnāt pull the rug out from under them when they were already on their way to a successful career. I have a 76-yr old family member who is convinced that no one over age 70 should be allowed to serve in political office because lawmakers need to be āwith itā cognitively and need to understand the needs of the modern world and the younger generations.
