Yes. It’s of a piece with the attack on the professions. Doctors, lawyers, scientists, teachers and professors, government workers, union labor. Anyone who might have felt their work is reliable and valued.

Accurately categorized as junk mail. Really sorry to hear this, Joe.

I live two time zones east of my team. Love the ghost runner. Come out come out little ghosties! It’s time for sleep!

I know it sounds odd, but you have to understand that there's a new 75% tariff on beds in which you can sleep without a loaded firearm.

To be fair, I should note that the mailing did have a link to a FAQ about federal changes farther down. That link leads to another link, which leads to the FAQ, which is basically a set of shrug emojis, as in "At present, the specific impact of these orders on academic research remains unclear."

This sounds awesome. I was just pondering a first-day assignment for a data unit. I now plan to have students do a conventional intro paragraph at the start of the term and then revisit it as the basis of "We Data"--what happens when the paragraph becomes structured data? Thank you!

Interesting timing--are Sasaki's people trying to offer a courtesy notification so teams that are out can proceed with the international signing period starting Wednesday?

How much of this is Kyle Anderson not being there to be furious with people when they slack off? Does anyone have that credibility on this team?

Agreed. In the medium term, I’m much more worried about AI as an inequality accelerator (IA?) among students than as a cheating tool. I’m already seeing the IA effects in small ways.

I’m so glad you got this reminder of how much you mean to your students (and many others!) at a time when the news was especially helpful.
