As you know, I've been going on adventures since 1999 and here is one of my first ever, from Chicago, IL. In the summer of '99, some 300 flamboyant fiberglass cows descended upon Chicago, bedecked in everything from gum drops to gold leaf. “Cows on Parade” was a perfect first adventure for me!

Stonehenge was built to align with the sun on the solstices. On the summer solstice, the sun rises behind the Heel Stone in the north-east part of the horizon and its first rays shine into the heart of Stonehenge. I was here in November of 2023, a long way from summer. Happy first day of summer!

What Are Our Dietary Restrictions?

This is one of the historic battlefields in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. I visited here in 2002 and hope to get back someday. It's such a powerful and moving place.

It's BLOOPER MONDAY again! This week I have a picture from when I was photo bombed by a cat while at the Berkeley Plantation along the Charles River in Virginia. This is the house cat named George who looks over the grounds and the mansion built in 1726. It's open for tours & a fun place to visit.

Getting my island vibe on here in Grand Turk back in 2015.

Cat sitting for my next-door neighbor. This cat considers me the bad cop because I often hold her while her owner trims her claws, and she hates that. She's trying to give me the freeze-out today. She doesn't know that my house's WiFi reaches over here so I'm gonna wait her out. Your move, cat.

It's time for another Blooper Monday! This week we're going to Key West, Florida and that time in 2023 when I got photo bombed by a hen and her chicks while I was trying to get my picture taken at the Southernmost Point in the USA buoy.

Coming to you live from Chicago tonight where I am currently at the AC/DC concert. This is from earlier in the day when I got to see one of the actual tour cannons at the pop-up merch store. This is from their 1988 tour. For those about to rock, I salute you!

NORM! Today I am honoring George Wendt who passed away yesterday. Cheers is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time and this comedic legend will be dearly missed. From 2012, here is the bar in Boston that inspired the show. Originally the Bull & Finch Pub, it was later renamed because of the show.

I'm back with another BLOOPER MONDAY! (I'm keeping this bit going until I run out.) Remember the Simpsons couch photo I posted last week from the Dayton Art Institute in Ohio? Well, I was traumatized when I tried to get my picture taken outside and the wind blew me over! This is so embarrassing...

I visited the Valley of Fire State Park in Nevada in 2011. The rocks and soil were such a cool color!

Putting together a go bag doesn't have to be daunting or expensive. Here's how to create a functional kit that doesn't require much money, time or effort.

Martin Luther King Jr memorial in Washington DC.

This, was CNN. Can you find me? I'm REALLY small!! This photo was taken in 2001 outside the CNN world headquarters in Atlanta, Georgia.

Overlooking the Seine River in Paris, France from my visit in 2019.

As a Michigan cow I am excited my local band The White Stripes were nominated to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame yesterday! This picture is from my Cleveland, Ohio visit in 2021.

Here is the beautiful view I enjoyed in Monument Valley, Arizona in 2021. Truly a breathtaking place to visit!

In 2023 I found myself at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich, England. I happened upon William Herschel's telescope. This is the very telescope that enabled him to discover Uranus in 1781. (Insert your own juvenile jokes as necessary.)

Behind me is the La Brea Tar Pits in Los Angeles, CA. This is an active paleontological research site. Tar has seeped up from the ground for tens of thousands of years and over many centuries the bones of trapped animals have been preserved. I am relieved I didn't fall in myself! I visited in 2000.

In 2019 I visited Checkpoint Charlie in Berlin, Germany. This was the famous Berlin Wall crossing point between East Berlin and West Berlin during the Cold War. This was an active border crossing from 1961 - 1990.

We're going to stay in Arizona for one more day but move up north to the Grand Canyon. This is from my 2011 visit. Have you been? If not, I can assure you that pictures do not prepare you for the majesty before your eyes when you are standing there.

They say, “When life gives you lemons…” Well I’ve been busy all day trying to make lemonade. My plans to explore Shenandoah National Park today were thwarted by the intense fog. I hear it’s a beautiful place and the photos at the visitors center seem to back that up, but I didn’t see any of it.

Today I visited Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia. In fact, this photo was taken less than an hour ago! English settlers founded Williamsburg in 1632 and the city functioned as the capital of the Colony and Commonwealth of Virginia from 1699 to 1780. Today, it’s a living history museum.

If you were wondering what the view looked like from the top of the Washington Monument today, now you don’t have to! It was a rainy day in the nation’s capital, very fitting the country’s mood right now.

My tour of Washington D.C. continues. This is the original Wright Brothers 1903 flyer in the Air and Space Museum.

My vacation continues! Today I went south to Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello, in Charlottesville, VA. Built in 1772, Jefferson spent most of his adult life here when not in public service. Fun fact: Monticello has been on the reverse of the nickel since 1938.

I’m on vacation this week, visiting Maryland and Virginia. Today I was back in Baltimore and I found some of cherry blossoms this area is famous for!

The Miami Marlins play in a park with a stupid name: LoanDepot Park. They also used to have a cool sculpture inside that lit up and did crazy things after they hit a home run. This seven-story sculpture named "Homer" was relocated outside for the 2019 season. I visited in 2023.

For today's ballpark we're going north of the border to celebrate Rogers Centre in Toronto, Canada - home of the Toronto Blue Jays! If you missed my previous posts, I'm celebrating the new baseball season with a series of ballparks I have visited over the years.

I'm continuing my celebration of the return of baseball by sharing various ballparks I have visited. Today features a classic - Fenway Park in Boston. My 2012 visit coincided with the park's 100 year celebration. Please like and share if you are enjoying my adventures!

Hey @kadeshow.bsky.social nice shoutout to The Stache! I saw Sir Sly there once. Cool place!

Uzo Aduba gets her Benoit Blanc on with the delightful Netflix comic mystery miniseries The Residence, where the White House’s head usher is found dead during a state dinner. My review: www.rollingstone.com/tv-movies/tv...

Any baseball fans out there? I will be celebrating the start of the 2025 season with pictures of all the ballparks I have visited! Starting tomorrow and for the next 10 days, so don't miss it!

Now that it's spring, I'm daydreaming about one of my favorite places on earth: Cedar Point amusement park in Sandusky OH. The greatest amusement park in the country. This is Cedar Downs, one of only two racing carousels in the US. Built in 1921 and moved here in 1967 - it's faster than you think!

Yesterday I shared a photo of the Nikola Tesla statue in Niagara Falls, Canada. But this man was so important, he was honored on both sides of the falls! Here he is again on the American side. This is also from my 2023 visit.

This is the Nikola Tesla statue in Niagara Falls, Ontario. No, he is not the founder of the car company - but it is named after him! Why do they have his statue? Nikola Tesla designed the first hydro-electric power plant in Niagara Falls! I visited him in 2023.

I'm an all-American cow, but I support my friends in Canada! I could go for some delicious Pizza Pizza right now. Did you know you can get a single slice with a Coke and a bag of chips? A bag of chips! Who would have thought? Canadians, of course! This was in Niagara Falls, in 2023.

@altmadison.bsky.social good news! Next week is the Severance finale, not this week!

In 2005 I got to tour the Mount Gay Rum factory on the island of Barbados. Even a stuffed cow needs a drink now and then!

Any KISS fans out there? In 1975 KISS visited the small town of Cadillac in northern Michigan - the football team used their music to motivate. They played a concert at the high school & rode in the Homecoming parade! Do yourself a favor and Google the photos. This monument was erected as a tribute!
