I'm giving it a 6.5/10 mainly because I think pork belly would have been better and also I have mediocre cooking skills at best.

It's cured for a week. Then boiled. Then pan fried. The result was basically this sweet and salty, and somehow juicy, pork jerky. It was very good but very rice. I'm not a big meat eater first thing in the AM. I wish I could have found pork belly for this. But it wasn't at the store.

Tocino is cured pork. I marinated mine first in soy sauce and rice vinegar and spices. Then added a bunch of salt and sugar to cure it. This wasn't quite the right order in the recipe I had. I also used the least expensive pork cut I could find because quite frankly I'm not made of money.

I'm sure they'll eventually get the rest of us. RIFs would occur by seniority next. I don't expect my job to be safe. And I'm not sure what I'll do after either.

Fixing it will take a long time. And the whole time we will have to listen to people complain about the broken system that ultimately, they broke. And I don't think a lot of us will be sympathetic to your complaints.

You all want services. But just the ones that YOU use. The other ones that "those people" use, who cares about them right? But your service is important and essential. It's such an entitled and selfish attitude.

I'm equally angry at the public. I don't think I've stopped being angry since November. "Now you lazy feds know what it's like in the real world!" We all know we're gonna have to listen to you all bitch about why nothings working later in the year. Broken public services will affect you, eventually.
