It's such a shame. The drawing experience on a good e-ink device can be so smooth, but there's always some kind of hitch to overcome. The Onyx Boox Note Max is a joy to draw in -- when using their built in notebook only. Other Android apps lag. So close to a perfect Concepts/Bamboo Paper experience!

A fascist sees no difference between your art and whatever list of kinks you have in your DNI list.
You either link arms and survive or dont.

Personally struggled and bounced off of HTML/CSS many times over the years. The thing that finally made it click was starting with describing and transcribing literal paper documents, as if asking someone else to write it down, ignoring visual appearance.
htmldog.com/guides/html/ helped with that.

For backgrounds and perspective, it might be valuable to figure out which issues stem from a lack of information (what you need to study) and which issues come from lack of practice (Position and Placement? Composition? Value? Etc.) -- this analysis will keep you from laboring in vain.

The large sketchbook and physical books were introduced to counter personal time management constraints and focus killers. The ink, brush and dip pens were used to gain dexterity and practice those specific tool skills. The Morpho books are for study, and observation sketches for practice.

Short answer, yes, with caveats. Over time, this method was developed to split time studying (acquiring new knowledge) and practicing (experimenting with and using knowledge in context) specific personal fundamental weaknesses. Tailor your methods to your specific study and practice needs.

How are the Fisher & Paykel masks? Stuck in Resmed Nasal Pillow town over here, but been curious about ordering one of these!

Didn't know these came in colors now; That gold color would be convenient for finding its digits when accidentally dropped!

The tally ring is also nice because it keeps the last count it reached until it is intentionally reset, in case a page needed to be cut short. Previously would use a page of lined paper with a tally on it which was easy to mislay or smudge...

100 hands, 100 feet, 100 figures study routine. Per sketchbook page, 50 hands from study book (Morpho: hands and feet as of late) then on the back of the sheet 50 hands from observation, to try to recall what was learned from the book. Likewise for feet. Figures are drawn digitally.

Been away, but guessing this means Bsky moderation ran into the Nazi Bar test and failed spectacularly, right? Missing Cohost every day...

Personally was using telescoping camping stools for the same purpose, but this arrangement looks significantly more convenient and easy to store, while removing the points of failure on the telescoping-legs variety. Will need to pick one up at some point!

The stool looks quite convenient! Does it fit into a backpack when fully collapsed?

You have it partially understood.
YCH stands for Your Character Here; You as the artist draw a situation with a placeholder posed character. People then make a request, and you replace the placeholder with the character they specify. The requestor provides a character and you draw them in the pose.

Saving one's workspace and selecting Window > Workspace > Reload workspace when panels are out of order is the way to achieve this! You can set a keyboard shortcut for it under File > Shortcut Settings.

This takes a prominent place on the hard drive, who could forget? Still love this illustration and laugh when it pops up!

The tyranny of defaults shape the behavior of the average uninformed user; bad incentives lead to bad results. People are more worried about the larger site culture than their personal comfort and site defaults reflect site priorities.

Is the soundfont/instrument a pattern sequence? Personally have run into issues like this when the instrument is a sequence when sustaining a note in FL.

Personally have been bouncing back and forth between Blackwings and a .9 GraphGear Mechanical pencil and have been noticing similar changes in pencil work. The Blackwings are a little dark on some papers and can be hard to erase, but that might make the difference in how the sketch gets approached?

Do you end up testing a lot of drawing hardware over the years? What is the iPad Air like to draw with? Haven't personally used an iOS device so that half of mobile drawing remains a mystery!

Been running through Final Fantasy 5 for the first time in years. The game has a refreshing tone after completing 4 and 6 again recently, and the small party size makes them pull off feeling like friends pretty successfully. Wishing for an Octopath Traveler 3 at this point...

There is a structural problem with popular social media that effectively infantilizes people using assistive technologies, like when video sites censor swear words in captions. Adults with impairments like porn as much as their sighted peers, but yes, actually writing them can be very uncomfortable!
comment in response to
post
There are plenty of impairments that are eased by alt-text that wouldn't stop someone from enjoying your work, & the cultural expectation of including them makes for a better experience for us all. As for porn, plenty can enjoy a text description of a erotic image and connect with it that way too!

Hard agreed.
At this point, why go with half measures when they're going to fight to do all the awful stuff they want to do without reservation or shame? Why not be loud about the better world that is possible? Nothing to lose.

Your work always has such appealing, lively energy to it, especially your linework. The way you draw legs and hips is an inspiration!

It is unfortunate that through observation most are taught that on social media, they are nobody, & are open to derision if their comments do not bring some quantifiable "value" to the recipient. Likes are like a soft approval from a defensible position; body language in absentia. Worth unlearning!

Likes for expressions of appreciation, bookmarks for tutorials & other reference material, personally. One does not tend to recheck likes, they're for the recipient. Bookmarks are for future reference, & were useful when post URLs were not reliable. Bookmark info is later committed to local storage.

Agreed, always found the clouds highly distracting personally. Maybe changes in color or value in b&w environments would communicate the intention better instead? Steam as an expression of bodily heat feels like a bit of a tortured metaphor over some shading.
