It’s not the extension that isn’t widely supported, it’s the format. if you’re using windows, the extension is used to pick the app that opens the file, but that app will look at the magic number inside the file. It’s possible to have a broken setup when the wrong app is associated with webp.

File extensions are for decoration. The actual file type is encoded in binary in the first few bytes of the file, and that’s what programs look at.

Domestic fridges have the worst form factor, so they can fit into confined spaces that limit the air flow around the heat exchanger. There’s a lot of improvements that could be made without needing building work, but the current “fitted” styles (at least in the uk) seem to be making it worse…

Also, I’m pretty certain that in the busy parts of London you’re never very far from a met police firearms team. This may or may not make you feel safer, but I like that there’s at least one closed door between me and a bunch of automatic weapons.

It’s tricky because the Normans (practically French!) were descended from Vikings (admired by white ethnocentrism fans everywhere) and also the royals are more recent imports (basically German, and Germans cause conflicted feelings in English nationalists who stop to think about it).

You should do. It hadn’t even occurred to me that nonzero reals could be arbitrarily small but not infinitesimally small, that that was even a distinction between the two concepts, til I read it in your 0.9999… article.
