Smart by the Wolves to move the screens higher against a blitz. Gives the short roll more space. Pelicans recover well but Naz gets an open 3 (and passes it off inexplicably). Julius nails a buzzer-beating 3.

Another blitz, drive into the paint, kick out to create an open 3.

Ant drawing another double in the post, and making the same play. They wont cash every time, but its the right play.
There's a reason the Wolves scored so easily last night.

Ant blitzed, takes them into the paint. Kick, swing, open 3 for one of the best 3 point shooters in the NBA.
Effective, simple, unselfish and unforced offense.

Ant blitzed again, hits Rudy on the short roll again. Nice work by Rudy to find the open player and create a shifted defense for Naz to attack.

The short roll play showing up again. Pelicans committed to the blitz, Ant committed to making the right play. Gets Rudy a trip to the line.

Ant took a double into the paint and kicked it out for a wide open 3 through a hockey assist.

Ant is blitzed on the screen and immediately passes to the short roll. This will be a common theme all night.

It's so fun to see the influences from teammates in Ant's bag. Here, Ant draws a double in the post and immediately kicks it out. A clear Julius Randle influence.

Yeah, that's fair.

Very few players, in my opinion, have big beefs with the beat writers. It is the national faces of the league that they are upset with.
An over-generalized notion for sure, but that's human to do.
Also easy for me to say these things not being a beat writer.

IDK man he had decades of ineptitude. The Wolves were extremely poorly run until they got themselves a POBO, which took... a long time. And there is still a lot of issues that Glen has created with this feud between Arod/Lore and himself. A lot of animosity.

We must move away from political elites.
Now is the age of the hollywood elites.

And hey - here's Mike Conley.
Wonder why Finch is closing with him over Rob? 😂

I sincerely hate that 99% of sports discourse boils down to "line go up"

They are getting younger and out of the 2nd apron. Middleton is unfortunately just not on the court that much anymore, whether that be by injury or by total minutes. Kuzma at least gives them a player with the juice to play longer stints.

I think Finch's approach with younger players in terms of setting a tone of excellence is a really good thing. Give them more playing time when they show they can do those things consistently. That's important for young players! If you just throw them into a big role, they can develop bad habits.

Too many people are trying to force this huge role onto him and I just want him to grow into his current role. We don't need to pretend like he's going to be our clutch time star at 19 years old. It's OK to just let him marinate a bit. He's getting reps.

At the end of the day this team is hurt so you are going to see less than ideal lineups. They miss DDV and Randle.

I think he's still a good player, but playing with the starters is tough for his energy. I don't think we need to crucify Finch for having him in there though. Its not like he was attacked defensively either; the clutch baskets were made against Jaden. And Rob had his own bad night.

He was a +5, had 0 turnovers, 9 assists and hit a clutch 3, not sure this is the game to complain about.

You could suggest them for opponents and put your power to good use

While I love Mike, I think NAW at the 1 and Naz at the 4 gives you a long team that can space the floor.
Risk is always playmaking. But NAW on ball also gets Jaden off ball, where he thrives.
