Perhaps they had already booked their travel and couldn’t cancel without penalty.

Thanks very much. It’s actually a bridge and I sat on the floor and simply waited for interesting patterns to emerge.

I picked it up in a vintage camera shop. No idea if I paid a fair price but it is a very nice lens. I have a few 50mm lenses and arguably the Voigtlander f2 APO Lanthar is my favourite. I have a Nocti 0.95 but it’s too heavy for everyday use.

I have not. I jumped from the M240 to the 10R ( and now a Q3 as well). I haven’t tried an 11 either but I am extremely happy with the 10R. I don’t feel any need to buy anything else at the moment.

I was shooting with a 1949 Angénieux f2.9 lens today (on an M10R). Low contrast soft images with gritty backgrounds but a joy to use.

Nanny knows best. We are constantly being forced to use apps that we don’t want and adopt technology that saves cost but reduces service quality. That’s progress.

Comparing tRump to Lee Kuan Yew is something of a stretch. I’m not sure that enhances hog’s breath’s credibility.

I wish I had heard / met him. You are very fortunate. The world needs more people like him, especially now.

A truly amazing and inspirational photographer. Well worth reading his autobiography.

Yes that’s right. The population here is important. We see them all the year round but they only seem to come up here in warmer weather. Maybe they like the breeze. Astrid Andersson at HKU is the local expert.

I’m sure after reading this there will be a Damascene conversion and all will be fixed by 2034.
