100% this. Cracking read. We either have morals and pride - or we don't.

Ukraine's independence and territorial integrity are unconditional. Our priority must now be strengthening Ukraine and providing robust security guarantees. In any negotiation, Europe must have a central role. Our Weimar+ statement ↓

Robert McMaster writes in @northeastbylines.co.uk about the petition he started to rejoin the EU which now has over 100,000 signatures

This has reached 100k signatures so there will now be a parliamentary debate. No need to stop there though. Let's keep boosting it right up to when it closes on 30 April.

No other policy proposal or infrastructure investment has the potential to move the economic dial on this scale in this timeframe. In monetary terms, if used 1-for-1, the proceeds could fund increases to the NHS capital budget for 2 yrs. Enough of empty Brexit rhetoric. Let's fund our NHS instead.

I wrote this on Jan 1st 2016... Calling out the Stronger In campaign for being too monolithic and top-down - and calling for backing of pro-European grassroots initiatives. Years later, I'm proud of the pro-European grassroots community that we've built. And I'm fully confident in our direction.

Thank you @hollybancroft.bsky.social for shedding light on the experience our co-director Marzena Zukowska had flying home last month. This is not an isolated incident. A digital-only status means more and more people in the UK will have their rights denied: www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

This is crazy! Glad that you made it ok @marz.zukowska, @pomocorguk.bsky.social! The #eVisa system is flawed. With @the3million.bsky.social let's help #FixTheDigitalSystem! BTW: brilliant panel at last week's Beyond Borders talk @migrationmuseumuk, thank you! 🙏 www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home...

Come to Birmingham with us! There isn't anyone else showing them any opposition... SO WE WILL #RejectFarage #RejoinEU

"Efforts to keep potentially disease-ridden meat out of the UK are being undermined by post-Brexit border checks." Brexit is an unsustainable, enfeebled position for this country. Its frameworks simply don't work well.

Looking ahead: Where do Britain and the EU go from here? Join our panel of experts for an honest conversation about rebuilding UK-EU relations, 5 years after Brexit. Free online talk, Feb 19 at 6:30PM GMT.

Did you see the BBC's shocking Countryfile report on how post-Brexit food and plant checks at our border are driving up prices for everyday Brits? 👇

The extortionate cost of visas in the UK aren't just an "act of national self-harm", it is a constant source of individual harm on those put through the system. Among some of the highest in the world, UK visa costs drive people into poverty, and destroy lives. www.standard.co.uk/news/politic...

Starmer is "a leader humbled into returning to the EU fold because Britain has been weakened by Brexit". www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/poli...

Absolutely this. And it’s just not about the economics. In recent years, if someone asks ‘well what’s your plan?’, it often means their own ‘plan’ is morally unspeakable.

When something is a success, people like to associate themselves with it. So it's noticeable how quiet the Brexiters are. inews.co.uk/opinion/brex...

Our Chair, Dr Mike, on the 5th anniversary of Brexit. All going swimmingly ...

Reminder from 31.01.20 in today's Politico Playbook. "Some Labour leadership contender called Keir Starmer responded “yes, of course,” when asked by some Lobby hack whether he would bring back freedom of movement for EU citizens if he ever became prime minister. Whatever happened to that guy?"

More than six in ten Britons (62%) say that Brexit has so far been more of a failure, against just 11% who feel that it has been more of a success yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

“you'd be a fool to rule out Rejoin from where we are now. More and more, it seems like a realistic prospect in the next ten years.” Really good summing up from @iandunt.bsky.social of where we’ve been and where we could be going five years on from Brexit. iandunt.substack.com/p/brexit-fiv...

🔥 This is an absolutely devastating set of figures on the UK public's view of Brexit. Absolutely damning. Look at each category one by one - particularly the economic ones. YouGov article on these data here. 👉 yougov.co.uk/politics/art...

🔴After Five Years of Brexit It’s Time to Admit It Was a Terrible Mistake and Build the Case to Rejoin the EU Let this be the moment we look forward to a brighter future at the heart of Europe, argues Green MP @elliechowns.bsky.social bylinetimes.com/2025/01/31/b...

Five years on from Brexit, London remains a European city, where European Londoners are valued and cherished. You are our neighbours, colleagues, friends and loved ones. Thank you for making London your home. You are wanted here—and always will be.

Happy 5th anniversary of Brexit! What a farce.

only one in five LEAVE voters think that Brexit has been more of a success than a failure, that is nuts

Very pleased that we made the splash 🙏🏼

What a contrast to the way "digital status" was imposed on migrants. The Home Office version of digital proof is a severely flawed and disempowering online process. The H.O. has told us for years it can't be in the form of an app, or alongside physical, or voluntary... www.bbc.com/news/article...

💥 It passes!! 💥 The Youth Mobility (EU Countries) Bill has just passed its first reading. No opposition voiced by the govt. your thousands of emails stopped them shutting it down. Well done @jamesmaccleary.bsky.social on a superb speech. 👏👏👏
