Feeling more grounded from meditation AND a solid list of new releases to check out AND almost at the weekend! What new releases from today are y’all excited about? #metalsky

I’m playing what we are all feeling this morning. The Toronto punk band the Diodes.. and ‘Tired of Waking Up Tired’ youtu.be/KjcK3EmNKcA

New release, now listening. #piano #classicalmusic app.idagio.com/albums/abrac...

Listening to the new album Gut by Baths. It took me about halfway through the first track for it to click into place, but from there I’ve enjoyed this one.

Dennis Schmitz

The “blues” sense definitely shines through. This track from over 100 years ago really hit me.

An old sketch that sums up my mood lately. Done in #procreate. #art #artist #digitalart #sketch #expressionism #tired #digitalpainting #sorrow

Today is my sister's birthday and to celebrate I'm donating to the collaborative organization where she works, CCATE, Centro de Cultura Arte Trabajo y Educacion. If you can, I hope you will join me in supporting them. Reskeets very welcome. www.ccate.org

You think this is slicked back? This is pushed back!

"It’s important to acknowledge where [techno] came from, who pioneered it, and how it continues to influence the world. This is more than just music; it’s culture, history, and a movement that deserves recognition." Kevin Saunderson — Blackout:

Day 6 of "Another Day of Oscar". Oscar's favorite thing, besides treats and snoozin' is riding in the car. He has his own driving song Little white puppy in a car, he knows he's not going very far, he's small and white and cute, he really is a beaut small white puppy in a car. #dogsofbluesky

You saw Hell today Ain’t life funny that way Some grass isn’t green Some pain, it goes unseen But you did it before I know you’ll do it once more Get to the other side To your blue skies and pride But in the meantime Cry baby, cry baby Cry baby, cry baby Go on and feel what you feel The pain is real

Look up/ trees and stars

Day 5 of "Another Day of Oscar". An appreciation post of our almost 14 year old Bischon mix. #ADOO Oscar does not like toys, but he likes the thought of toys. He's also not a big fan of roughhousing, but he does get scrappy sometimes. Treats and snoozin, snoozin and treats #dogsofbluesky

Another from Frankfurt am Main, February, 2025.

requiescas, o regina.

Sunrise, moon, crow

Day 4 of "Another Day of Oscar". An appreciation post of our almost 14 year old Biscon mix. #ADOO Oscar has live primarily in the North Georgia mountains with a brief stint when he was a puppy, in Atlanta. His favorite things are treats & snoozin, snoozin & treats. #dogsofbluesky

A very simple little animation I made tonight. I find it soothing. Get some rest if you’re able, BlueSky.

Listening to this album through twice, I wanted to hear it again right away. Hard to pin to a genre, in a great way. It’s somehow both relaxed and urgent.

Now listening to a new album from L.A. folk-punk busker, Sunny War. This first track is really fun:

Now listening to the new album from South London rap duo Krept & Konan. It’s relaxed, breezy hip hop with some dark corners. It’s been 12 years since their last album, but this one seems like it was worth the wait.

Starting up Sunday Morning Music with some straight-ahead feel-good pop music from Detroit songwriter and producer Mike Posner. This album feels a little like music that would play at a Power Marketing seminar, but it’s undeniably uplifting.

Day 3 of "Another Day of Oscar". An appreciation post of our almost 14 year old Biscon mix. #ADOO Oscar has had two "big sisters" in his life, one older than her, Sweeney, & her current big sister, who's younger, Fletcher. Both Great Pyrenees. They've kept her young and active. #dogsofbluesky

This is a great tool!

I know I’m biased bc Han is my press partner but I swear this is the best book of poems I’ll read this year.

Listening to Portland Maine’s Dead Gowns (Genevieve Beaudoin). It’s mostly-gentle folk rock, with just a little growl to it. It feels good with coffee.

amanda berenguer, uruguayan poet

Welcome to day 2 of "another day of Oscar" or as we howl around the house ADOO!!! Oscar will be 14 soon; he's slightly blind, can't hear well, but man can he get around when we're hiking and has the energy of a puppy thanks to his big little sister Fletcher the Great Pyrenees #dogsofbluesky

Last seven days’ top twelve albums, for #LastFmFriday, including some good first-time listens from today.

I’m particularly looking forward to hearing new music from Basia Bulat, Paris Texas, Saya Gray, Porridge Radio, and Luke Sital-Singh. What’s on other people’s radar?

There are serious liberty-and-life-taking things going on in our country and world right now. What gives me hope is the simple fact that people keep making music. So, happy New Album Release Day to all who celebrate. Music might not save us, but it gives me the strength to fight on.

Now listening to Portakosmo 2.0 by Look Mum No Computer. Synths, sometimes soaring, sometimes dancing.

Διονύσιος ὁ Ἀρεοπαγίτης by Starving Poet music.apple.com/us/album/%CE... #experimentalmusic #electronicmusic

For those unaware, Starving Poet is Rose's own musical project. You can certainly make worse choices when it comes to experimental music! 👍

Female Cardinal guest this morning. 17° and snowing in Ellijay GA #birdsofbluesky

This guy’s yowl is like a collective cry. I keep coming back to this album.
