Oh thank you, that's the best compliment! I loved coming up with my "window-themed" interpretations of all these scenes.

Thank you! Luckily it's in the public domain, so I could print my own little artbook with all of these - but a "proper" version would be the dream!

Congratulations on the 10k, Toby! That is well deserved. My name is Sami, I'm a freelance illustrator from Finland. Here are some of my latest works.

You're welcome! :)

Ooooh I'd be all over that! Maybe with some ink chapter headers 🦇🖤

Well, you're using your shower thoughts really well! (mine are just about how scolding hot I can make the water before I boil alive) xD

I’ll start! My name’s Toby and I’m working on my project, Pantheon Deck, where I’m illustrating the gods and spirits from my fantasy setting 🔮☁️

I love all your moody color palettes. The pink-hued grass in the first one is *chef's kiss*

The various black-and-white illustrations are some of my favorites for the artzine. Something so soothing about the simplicity of pencil and ink! www.evydraws.com/shop for both the ebook and printed artzine 🦇

Please take a guess at how many Blender images I rendered to assemble this reference and find all the lighting information... 😅

I'm sure your outie also never drank paint water! 🥲
comment in response to post
Please try to enjoy each fact about your outie equally. (but also, the brush one would have deducted points for me 🥲)

Oh hell yeah, that's the perfect fit for you and your art 👀✨️

Just curious, did you manage to delete all your posts/images there, or just deactivated? I'm trying to completely purge everything but it's a pain, so I might just pull the plug

Thank you! I combined the model with actual pictures to get a more natural look, but the 3D really helped with the overall setup!
comment in response to post
I'd never heard of that one! - but I always combine the 3D refs with as many (bad lol) pictures of myself to make it more natural, too :')

I knew how to use Blender from my scientific visualization background - but using it for references and finding beautiful lighting is a whole different experience! And true, Daz is great for when I just want something quick, and already have a clear idea in my head. :)

Oh wow, these look great!

I'm still new to making my own with Daz3D and Blender 🥲 which do you prefer?

Thank you so much for sharing - I'm always so happy to hear back from people! And glad that Gale didn't disappear into some kind of magical portal along the way, but made it safely 🥰

Thank you so much! I may have read a lot of Hesiod as research for the storytelling... 😆
