“If I could give it 6 stars, I would!” one reviewer writes.

BREAKING NEWS: In a massive lawsuit, the AFL-CIO has SUED the Treasury Department: “for their unlawful…disclosure of personal and financial information…to Elon Musk and other members of the so-called ‘Department of Government Efficiency’ (DOGE).”

I’m old enough to remember when we had 3 branches of government. Forget checks and balances. I guess we are a Muskocracy now.

A long dark night has begun in America

House and hip-hop share a common thread: both are distinctly Black American artforms that emerged from U.S. streets and dance floors, shaping the mainstream after gaining underground followings. A scholar of African American culture highlights this connection: https://buff.ly/3EkW0qH

REAGAN: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies… beware of demagogues ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, national security, and the entire free world—while cynically waving the 🇺🇸 flag.” Trump’s bad ideas are not new.

Did you know? In 1968, 24 Black men in Pittsburgh revolutionized emergency medicine. The Freedom House Ambulance Service was established to provide emergency medical care to underserved Black neighborhoods—creating the world’s first paramedics.

Happy BLACK History Month. I read Black books every month but I got two stacks for y'all. First stack is books by Black authors I loved and the second are the ones I’m getting to. #booksky

This is what the government did with 120K+ Japanese Americans in 1942. I know. I was there in those camps.

Bravo to Sen. Alsobrooks for her question. “We should not be giving Black people the same vaccine schedule as Whites because their immune system is better than ours.” — RFK Jr This is the deadlier version of the racist myth that Black people feel less pain, leading to denied pain meds.

Goodnight, friends. Decide on one action to take tomorrow that will support building the world you want. One is enough. Any size. Commit to doing it. Write it down. Tell someone. Be kind to yourself I love you.

That's right - we should cut government waste. But we're seeing Trump and Musk's plan in action: pausing federal funds that rip school lunch away from preschoolers and end Meals on Wheels for seniors. That's not efficiency, it's cruelty. I have better ideas. www.foxnews.com/opinion/sen-...

Just read the unabridged version of Anne’s diary. Years ago I read the “school” version—so much left out about an adolescent’s sexual awakening. I mourn that the world never got to see this brilliant teenager grow up. Never forget. #booksky

Birthright citizenship is “as close to a national self-definition as we have; it is our legal DNA,” David W. Blight writes. “One cannot overstate the gravity of Trump’s proposed action, nor the historical ignorance on which it stands.”

There are good ways to resist Trump’s agenda. This is not one. Dems threatening to tank our economy like Republicans regularly do just validates their hostage-taking. We should pay our bills. The debt ceiling should be abolished, not weaponized.

A grim but essential memory: 80 years ago today Auschwitz was liberated. That there was an Auschwitz to liberate is unspeakably tragic. . . www.history.com/this-day-in-...

The USAF has reversed itself "after uproar." We must continue to pay attention. We must continue to preserve & share the stories of the Tuskegee Airmen & the Women Airforce Service Pilots. I promised them I would always tell their stories. You can too. Knowledge is power! www.msn.com/en-us/news/u...

Hey, while we're talking about erasing history: In 1949 the US military held its first Aeriel Gunnery Competition, later known as "Top Gun." The best of the best competed in dogfighting and other skills. The team that won, was the 332nd: The Tuskegee airmen. So they refused to announce a winner🤡

In these times of madness our historians are among our most valuable assets. Please protect them, defend their work & pray for their health & well being. We cannot allow history to be erased. Our stories must be told.

It’s an open secret among medical professionals: Many drugs maintain their ability to combat ailments well after their expiration date. One pharmacist says he sometimes takes home expired OTC medicine so he and his family can use it. (Published 2017, but there's no expiration date for this story)

These women didn’t sit down, stay quiet, or ask for permission—they broke the rules and changed the world. Role models. We should add Bishop Mariann Budde to the list.

No one can quash the legacy of the Tuskegee Airman. Same for the Buffalo Soldiers. That unit was sent to West Point from 1907-1947 to replace an undisciplined white unit. During segregation, they trained all the white officers who fought in WWI & II & they built a legacy. We know their story.

We will have victories and setbacks, good days and bad. We must understand that this will not be over in one election or with the defeat of any one candidate. This is the fight of our generation, and it will take time. www.democracydocket.com/opinion/10-t...
