Trump blames Ukraine for starting the war the way a rapist blames his victim for looking too sexy.

He’s not making up: news.bloomberglaw.com/banking-law/... Is this really what y’all voted for? 🫤 💰

Look, I love Executive Orders. And I [huge eyeroll] helped write a couple. But EOs are not laws. They are polite requests to executive branch agencies who if they want to, can say, “we are working to achieve the objectives outlined in the Executive Order, and will update you in the future. [laughs]”

"When you ride TESLA, you ride with Hitler. Join Public Transportation Today!" Reworked WW2 poster spotted in Oakland

I humbly submit my entry for the competition to find a replacement logo for Cliev's new party.

I wonder if Cliev and co realise that machine-generated logos do not enjoy copyright protection. Toot! Toot!

Trump just signed an order for ‘reciprocal tariffs’ on all U.S. trade partners. What that really means: more price hikes for workers while corporations pocket subsidies. “The working class fights the trade war—the rich just watch their stocks grow.”

Presumably, Trump will come back from meeting Putin waving a piece of paper and saying ″⁣Peace in our time″⁣. Dave Torr, Werribee @theage letters

No kidding!

At this point, there are only two options: A) Elon is so dishonest that he is willing to peddle obvious lies to score PR points B) Elon really is this stupid

i am going to put a finer point on this: executive orders are not laws. and they certainly are not royal decrees. they are interpretations of existing law for the purposes of enforcement. the fact that so many people are treating them as laws is actually driving me a bit insane.

I particularly like the idea of driving a Tesla. The very difficult to break laminated windows and fiddly emergency door exit particularly appeal (what’s wrong with mechanical door mechanisms?!?). Looks like they have more features and great OEM support too! apnews.com/article/tesl...

If we taxed our resources like Norway does, at 78%, we could fund every Australian child's education (Early, Primary, Secondary & Tertiary), health, dental, social housing & more from birth to 25 Just like Norway For every single Australian child Imagine that 🐝 #auspol #qt

So Trump says he's trying to root out corruption in the government... But some kinds of corruption like bribery are ok. Also corporate & foreign corruption are fine, too. Got it. www.nytimes.com/2025/02/11/u...

"Far-right populists are significantly more likely to spread fake news on social media than politicians from mainstream or far-left parties, according to a study which argues that amplifying misinformation is now part and parcel of radical right strategy" Verifiably: right wingers are liars

Why the heck are people still allowed, no, required, to cut their dogs’ tails and ears?!? Schnauzers look lovely with both in their natural state; mutilating pets for competition is 🤢 www.abc.net.au/news/2025-02...

It's hard to believe that humanity is at a place where a headline like this, to our peril, is merely met with a yawn... Earth is now retaining profuse excess heat - the equiavlent of a million nuclear bombs per day - in our climate system. Today’s Berardelli Bonus H/T to @LeonSimons8 Linear trend

NEW: In a move that could jeopardize U.S. election security at the state level, the federal Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Agency put employees tasked with securing elections from foreign threats on administrative leave.
