"A frogkin family in distress, an evil knight bent on greed and power, tons of evilfolk and traps. I am the great and powerful Zorg! You must help me upon my quest dear adventurer." Sounds like fun! 🐸

Glad it arrived! Such a nice photo too!

I just picked up a copy of Pericles and can't wait to get it to the table. The 30 minutes - 6 hours on the box is quite the range! How long was your game, if I may ask?

Hah! Stop. Your videos are good!

I feel like it will eventually happen, against my better judgement.

High quality videos are so hard to make though. Even experienced art vloggers that I watch spend hours and hours editing videos to post. And that’s with a ton of experience.

Thanks for making art! I love that you use a lot of traditional media (paint, ink, paper, etc) when you create.

The map is great (as always) but that border!!!!! So good!

This latest reopening encouraged me to do more than silently lurk there for years.

Really good game and easily my favorite of the West Kingdom series. The solo mode is quite good as well! Enjoy!

Yeah it’s such a fun little addition in the advanced rules.

Are you currently accepting applications for new enemies?

I can almost always read the words that I wrote. Making sense of them though………

Oh I love this! I have this thing where game ideas start to crossover and interconnect. That would be helpful.

Missed opportunity.

I briefly tried Obsidian and did like it. I should look into what the idea cloud is thought. That sounds interesting.

The upside to this (if there is one) is that I have ample material to dig up for future Tumulus issues. No shortage of ideas around here.

I sometimes take notes in Notion as well. Most of my game writing (lately) has been in Microsoft Word docs. So there are electronic places to check too. This is a mess.

Thank you so much!

You can try some of the games made by the new game designers in the Make Your Own One-Page RPG class here: itch.io/jam/one-page... For most (all?) it was their first published game, so any constructive feedback and ratings would be great!

Also included: The release of TUMULUS 03. Kick open the door. Unlike most magazines or periodicals that quickly become dated, the creative inspiration in Tumulus has no expiration date. In a world where many things are digital and ephemeral, I hope each issue earns a permanent place on your shelf.

Perhaps less obscure but one that I really really enjoyed was A Perfect Rock: deep-dark-games.itch.io/a-perfect-rock It uses actual found rocks to tell the story of a destroyed planet and a search for a new home. 🚀🪨

The strangest and most obscure solo rpg I've played is Mechs into Plowshares. I can't describe it without kind of ruining it. If you don't mind major spoilers, I wrote about it here: www.skeletoncodemachine.com/p/chaplains-...

Extremely precise!

Shorter perhaps, but I'm not sure it improves readability and/or reading comprehension. At least not for me. I tend to find shorter sentences and bulleted lists much easier to follow.

An entirely new sentence!

Good luck! This one (unlike my Gladiator copy) is in good condition too. Lots of good memories with this game. (I’m afraid to play it now for fear that I dislike it.)

I love all my rulebooks equally. ☺️
