I live in a tiny agricultural town in Ventura County. California native. Ethnic mutt. 3 rescue cats. Radicalized at 13. Crankier with each passing day but still fighting, but so tired. Disclaimer: My autocorrect exists only to make me appear illiterate!

Maybe we should post the openings on Craigslist, oh and pay them with Trump meme coins, like the placeholders at his big parade. . .

I have physically shoved the police out of emergency departments. Law enforcement has no business contaminating treatment areas or obstructing access to needed care. Hospital security has a duty to intervene.

This is The Onion, right?

We all wore them in Louisiana when there was a hurricane. We made fun of them but wore them anyway. 🤣

I live in Ventura county and ICE is out in force, so of course no one is out in the fields. It doesn't matter if you are a citizen or not, ICE will disappear you. Many of the crops here are grown on small family farms, folks who have owned the land for generations. They will be bankrupted.

When I was in law school, one of my professors told me that a grand jury would cheerfully indict the phone book.

And that said, when will the other Democratic Governors speak up? Hmmm? Yo, Coach, Wes, that woman whose would-be kidnappers are about to be pardoned or that guy who says he's a "real billionaire". . . You all are next, but go ahead and hide. We'll remember who stood up.

I know. I experience the same type of pushback. We live in a sound bite world, where people are not used to simultaneously tracking the past, dealing with the present and anticipating a future that is the probable result of the actions we witness on a daily basis. Stay strong and keep fighting!

We knew. We were warned. Some of us are old enough to have lived through this type of repression previously. But this is both new and inconceivable for so many, and they are now having to deal with the horror of living in a police state. The task is to educate folks who have never had to face fear

Now, now, everyone in the Gulf South wears those white Kmart boots in wet weather.

Law enforcement abuse is not limited to black people alone. Abuse has been institutionalized against all people of color and all women. Privilege has been extended exclusively to white males for generations.

My friend lives in Long Beach and went to grab tacos at his favorite truck - gone. I live in Ventura County and many of our restaurants are closed and the food trucks along the busy 126 corridor are gone. The fields are empty, crops are rotting, these are small family farms! My fury is choking me!

Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Santa Clara,Tulare and other counties are being targeted by ICE. Trump's administration is targeting the hard-working (and taxpaying) resident workers in the state that produces over 1/3 of vegetables and over 3/4 of fruits and nuts in the US.
