Mario Kart World (I think I've played this game enough to warrant putting it here): Definitely a really fun kart racer and probably the best feeling Mario Kart to date with some really good new additions, albeit does feel a bit lacking on content, especially for the $80 price tag.

i was never really a huge fan of his, mostly just watched some of his content from time to time and thought he was a pretty chill dude back in 2016/17
but then he went all in on the 'enlightened centrist' takes in 2018 and now every time i hear him come up he just seems to get worse and worse

gonna be honest in that case specifically I really don’t feel like there was any reason not to offer an upgrade path for people who picked up the game on the OG Switch

to throw my own two cents into the mix - in the case of Sonic x Shadow Generations, I already bought it on the OG Switch and while it’d be nice to have visual and performance improvements I ain’t paying $50 to buy the same game again on a system I can already play it on.

apparently (from what i can tell i don't watch his content) someordinarygamers/mutahar spent the past month or two talking about boycotting nintendo and not supporting their practices but then bought a switch 2 at the midnight release, then made an apology video after people called him out on it

Doom 3: As an FPS game it's competent enough, but ultimately feels lacking in what primarily appeals to me about the first two Doom games in order to focus on horror and cinematic elements that don't really do much for me.

gonna be real when people say you should buy a steam deck instead of a switch 2 because nintendo is evil or w/e, it comes off less as taking a stand against corporations and moreso just as fanboyism.
