With 1 day to go until our Railway Series Weekend, one of our Special Guests has come out of the shed early to show off his lovely new coat of paint! In fact, he's come out, especially since he heard he could be on TV. You can catch us on ITV News TONIGHT at around 7:20pm!"

🕰️ ON THIS DAY - 160 YEARS AGO On the 22nd April 1865 the North Wales Chronicle reported on the recent delivery of a new locomotive to the Talyllyn Railway, which was none other than No.1 'Talyllyn'. A special illustration has been prepared to mark this anniversary...

Had the pleasure of riding behind 'Russell' up to Beddgelert on the WHR yesterday morning. Pictured is the afternoon service passing through the iconic Aberglaslyn Pass!

Happy international transgender day of visibility! To celebrate, let us commemorate LBSC or Lillian "Curly" Lawrence , arguably the most prolific model engineer and an inspiration to thousands

I have been missing Wales and the TR terribly as of late. One of the absolute best experiences of my life. Cannot thank my friend @explcookie.bsky.social enough for spending the day with us and showing us around. I long for this place

Enjoying a relaxed day firing No.2 for some filming with local University students - great way to spend a random Thursday in March!

Post a warning

Labour are all "get people back to work!" while gutting one of the industries the UK is most famous for, an industry with plenty of jobs very suited for disabled people. All my tv work is with the US. Now more than ever, I really wish it wasn't!

It’s the final day of the LFRM at London’s Ally Pally, so if you are heading to the show make sure you pop by and see our engineering prototype of Ivor the Engine. We couldn't resist posing some samples on @talyllyn.co.uk 's model of Ffarquhar and bringing your wildest fanfiction crossovers to life!

We're getting ready for our main running season with a delivery of 28.7 tonnes of Polish coal from Hargreaves Steam Coal! Trains start running from the 1st April to the 2nd November, 7-days a week. View the timetable on our website 👉 www.talyllyn.co.uk/timetable

What's the matter babe you've barely touched your revitalising course of radio activity

Looking back on the HRA Awards last week, thank you all so much for the kind messages of support. To even be shortlisted is such an honour, but I couldn't do it without my rock @keirathesleepymage.bsky.social ❤️ 📸 Jack Boskett

Big scary awards night tonight AAAA We'll see how it goes! Regardless of the outcome, the fact I've been nominated and shortlisted at all is so kind. Thank you.

I wonder who may be responsible for this, Daily Mail?

Mambo No. Egg

Happy Wednesday to all 140 followers, which is the same number as that of our header image loco, the most recent NG/G16 to join the fleet in model form and in real life.

Hello I'm still alive - haven't been massively active on here or over on the bad place, but definitely going to be using BlueSky as the base of operations from now on I reckon... Anyhow, here's one of my favourite photographs I took just before Christmas!

kids, this is called propaganda

I was looking for a pen in Awdry's study (sorry Luke) when I found THIS! This is a photograph of the engine that Topham Hatt himself built in 1905! She looks quite cheery for such a jerry-rigged engine, perhaps that has something to do with who's taking the photo! (Screenshot by Rhydyronen)

...and with that - Santa Season is over! Thank you to everyone who came out to join us at Plas Nadolig this year, we wish you all a very Happy Christmas. Don't forget that trains are running from Boxing Day until the 3rd January - get your New Years steam fix in early! 📸 Luke Ryan

No better way to spend my birthday - firing Talyllyn on a Santa Special with @keirathesleepymage.bsky.social on the footplate too!

Festive journeys to Plas Nadolig every day until Christmas - our Santa Special trains are now well under way! Space still available, book now! 👉 https://www.talyllyn.co.uk/christmas/ 📸 Graham Thomas

The world's richest man managed to take $190 million away from a *child cancer research center* with his posts yesterday. Funding now stripped in the new bill.

the worst thing is even the consultation puts the burden on creators, because all the questions are like 'given generative AI is obviously BRILLIANT and anyone who wouldn't want to let LLMs eat their copyrighted material HATES THEIR COUNTRY, do you think what we're suggesting is good?'

20 years ago we were suing teenagers for millions of dollars because they were torrenting a single Metallica album and now billionaires are demanding the free right to every work in history, so that they can re-sell it. The law only ever serves capital.

I've filled it out, even though half the questions are leading and the other half are opaque jargon. Generally, Labour have been suckered by tech bros and want to sell out the creative sector.

This is the "taking back control" that Brexit was really all about.

Remember both this and Moon Girl whenever June rolls around and Disney tries to pretend to be your friend

The Prime Minister urgently needs to close any loophole’s that might allow foreign billionaires like Elon Musk to bankroll British political parties

New baby animal cryptid dropped and I love her

Israel dropped a bomb on Syria that registered as an earthquake what the fuck are we still doing.

11 yrs ago I found this funny: 'How many Microsoft designers does it take to change a lightbulb? None. They just define darkness as “industry standard” But now I can't unsee this: 'How many huge companies does it take to fix the climate? None. They just define global warming as “industry standard”

As I keep saying we need to make @bsky.app the biggest social media platform on the planet, we need to do it with urgency & we need to send Elon Musk and Nigel Farage packing

🚨 Statement from Trans Kids Deserve Better on their action - occupying Wes Streeting's constituency office - which ended this morning.

Puberty blockers have been used safely since 1988 for trans kids. No issues. No one had concerns until GC's raised their ugly heads and decided it was best to eradicate trans people. It's never been about PB's, the agenda is purely and simply ensuring trans people and their healthcare doesn't exist.
