It’s honestly hard to tell. Any time the education system is blamed the teachers are the first to get blamed for everything from the lack of progress to not wanting to have to be shot at work. I appreciate that the system is broken - and I think it’s by design.

If you listen to the rhetoric directed towards the education system it’s largely the teachers who take the blame. From all sides. And it’s funny that you’re lecturing a teacher about educational inequities. I assure you we all know. From two different states and multiple counties in those states.

I wish I could. But remember Gen X largely got to do bully one another without and adult supervision at all. There were no rules so why would they care about others or rules now? And I say that as a Gen X.

T. Kingfisher has all kinds of older female protagonists. Nettle and Bone is an older woman as is the FMC in Thornhedge. The whole Paladin series is too plus Swordheart.
