Literally, life saving. My participant just had 2 life saving surgeries paid for through Medicare. And their recuperative care facility? Also, Medicare. Their PSH voucher? ECM through Medicare.

I'm a homeless outreach worker in San Diego and I have 20+ folks on my caseload right now. ALL use medicaid/medicare. ALL use EBT/TANF/GR/SSDI. ALL housing vouchers come through state/federal grants. If these systems topple, we will see the rate of elders on the streets TRIPLE, seemingly overnight.

I get between 10-30 scam calls a day from folks claiming to be able to give me flex spend cards if I have Medicare part a and b. I get too many calls I need to answer, that I can't just block all unknowns. Sometimes I sing at them and see how long they stay on the line. 21 seconds is my best.
