Oh there's no coding, just drag and drop really. Yeah that hacktribe stuff gives me the heebeegeebees too. Read that so many of them got bricked that way.

Yeah I haven't done a video in ages (apart from the live performance) I've got lots of new material I could record, just finding time and motivation to do it. I think also having a gangly chin because of electrolysis is not helping with self confidence at the moment but worth it long term x

Basically yeah, they're sysex files and FM2 supports that file system. I used a free vst called dexxed and a usb to midi adapter to send the sysex files over.

I've got one myself and done it as I don't have the room for a full size DX7 sounds great, would definitely recommend that if you want a DX7, easy enough to find the original factory presets or I can put them in a Google drive for you x

That's nice of your roommates. I know how big those things are! You know an Volca FM2 with DX7 factory presets installed makes a fine substitute.

I've wanted one for years to mess around with, love that rubbery 90s va softsynth sound x

In other news, look what has arrived 😆

You've done well with those Electribes. I just couldn't get back into mine ever since owning an MPC. Still have it, just incase the inspiration arises.

Yeah basically I found for performing live the delays and reverbs were eating into CPU usage so I needed multiple outputs to be able to apply FX externally hence why I got the L6. I use the reverb from that and setup a send FX to a delay pedal.

Like per sequence, I think it's 999 bars. I can check on my MPC live as they're the same sans speaker.

That's me out then! Poor and in need of more bars
comment in response to post
They look cool but seem so expensive for what they do. Unless I'm completely missing something 😆

Lots of MPCs going cheap at the moment on Facebook. Seems like nobody wants them at the moment.

Oh I've decided to give it to my Son as he's grown an interest in 90s Jungle 😆 so I've set him up with the MPC and a load of breaks and loops. MPCs have no bar limit which is why I love them. I use 16 bars so I can contain enough interest for a song to live in one sequence.

I've never liked the sound of weed whackers anyway. La Bella's are a good choice.

Oh yeah! Double bass strings are hideously expensive brand new.

If you were in the UK, I'd have half a chance of doing something 😆

Thank you! Happy pride to you too. I appreciate you being here as well. Hope you're looking after yourself? Xx

😆 it's beautiful! Although Live 12 is being a little bitch and having teething issues (still).

I've only ever joined because it was a friend's. Otherwise I totally don't get them XD

Yup! Exactly what I do 😆 I can never decide if paper or digital works best. At the moment, neither 🤣

What I could do with is either an artist manager, or an accountability buddy to keep each other on track!

It's grey and windy here 😞

Wow sounds like chaos! I didn't think they'd be so strong!

As cute as that sounds, I guess it's actually quite bad. Bloody things! Awesome news on the DJing too!

Thank you! Happy Pride to you too 🏳️‍🌈 It's an extremely quiet one today. She's poorly and I am exhausted. I hope you are well? x

Ehhh tired today, was on live sound duties for DJ Yoda last night. He was doing 80s mixtape show. Loads of fun but tiring. x

Have I missed something too?? x

Love all those classic in that YouTube video! 😍 Hope you had a good day? x

Luckily it's not my job dealing with it either, I just make sure they sound good when they're here. But it is these sorts of extra demands that put unnecessary pressure on small venues.
comment in response to post
I get your point entirely but the venue I work at is like top drawer, custom built Soundsystem, industry standard club setup etc. yet some of the big artists that get booked (through 3rd party promoters) sometimes ask for really obscure that'd be difficult (and expensive) to hire in...
comment in response to post
I remember a time if an artist wanted to play, they brought the equipment they wanted to use. Small venues literally balance on a knife edge to survive and these demands do not help at all.
